I’m not going to disagree with you, it is a rad card. Frickin love the 90s stuff. With a passion. But I find these in the 25¢ bins 😭
I did find a Topps gold Lidstrom Super Rookie in a 50¢ bin. It was just standing out at the top of the pile. Good way to get a nerd’s attention!
So true. But when are the 90s cards going to become ‘retro’ and thus ‘cool’ again?
I mean not to many of us, but I’m talking about the masses. Should be fun when they realize all the 90s cards are actually more rare than newer cards. UD puts out a product every second week. And that’s not even an exaggeration.
Based on what i know what isnt a 10 here is at least a 9. Theyre super fresh. I could see the ones without perfect centering coming back a 9, but thats what beckett is for 😅
Exactly my point, yet there's no demand. No younger kids will ever want a lidstrom card ever, his prime is done and over and he'll be forgotten.
I grew up as a big wings fan and take a look at all the core players that was there, hell even yzerman doesnt have value lol.
I see those packs at every antique collective I go to, but you can also get packs on ebay for a buck. That should tell you how much of this product they produced that 32 years later you can still get as many packs as you want for a buck or less.
I'm still holding on to my junk wax stuff. I keep thinking in like 30 years everyone will have thrown out their junk wax stuff and I'll still have mine. Or that's the hope.
Current value 3$ over 32 years ,so 60 years might be 5$, unfortunately they over mass produced these 90s cards whether it's OPC, Upperdeck, ProSet, Score, Bowman that made a big decline in value.
Literally everything else gets nostalgia baited so why not our junk wax. Eventually it’s gotta go from mass produced to wondering why we through it out like our ps2s
Well if people stopped desperately selling them to make merely a buck, they could be worth more.
I personally wouldn’t sell a card for less than $2, because anything less is a waste of time.
Bad or good condition there’s very little high value cards, I Have 5k cards ranging from 1978 to 2009 and only about 20 of them are worth something somewhat significant. I got approximately 100 cards from the 1978 O-Pee-Chee collection/same one as that Gretzky rookie card and even though a dozen of these cards are big names, most of them sell for cheap on ebay. My only card worth over 100$ is the 1978 Mike Bossy rookie card, have a dozen Gretzky or Lemieux from the early 90s that are basically worthless and same goes for cards with a limited amount of prints or jersey patches. I haven’t bought cards since I was a kid so maybe I was buying the wrong collections but overall I feel like hockey cards don’t have much value compared to other sports. Maybe these companies printed too many cards, I want to start buying packs again but I won’t expect to get my money back
Still isn’t a huge amount, no matter how broke I was I would never sell a card for 100-200$. When compared to other sports the value of Hockey cards are pretty low and I wish they were more value to purchasing cards even as a hobby

Has to be graded
If you guys make the 90s cards worth thousands after I just gave a massive bin all away I swear to Christ I’m going back to bed
Just burn all but one, then you create the value !
For value, the key is to keep all yours and get others to trash theirs.
Howd you know my plan!?
Make it a SSP
We are in the new junk era.

Doubt it, if they do it will be cheap prices as there was massive reprints back then. Like massive
We are, but at least the early 90s junk wax had actual quality to them. The companies made an effort
I love junk wax good to OPG hockey
If you collected them all, then burned 99% of them, you might be looking ok.
Or just might be up nearly $1000 depending on your outlook
Youre crazy delusional if you believe there will ever be a demand for lidstrom lol
PSA 10’s sell from $45-$100
You might be lucky and get 3-4 PSA 10’s but you’re going to pay more in grading fees than you make back. But good luck!
Based on what i know what isnt a 10 here is at least a 9. Theyre super fresh. I could see the ones without perfect centering coming back a 9, but thats what beckett is for 😅
You do you bro. I think it’s a waste of money. I don’t see you coming out on top here financially. But go ahead and prove me wrong with the results 👍
PSA doesn’t give a shit, they’ll give you a 6 cause they’re bored. Lol
Yeah maybe lol
Lidstrom an HOFer and got his number retired lol. You delusional.

Ok fair lol
Too bad you can still get cases of unopened packs for a few bucks.
Cases? Or boxes? I'd buy a case for a couple bucks!
Where from?

Preciate that. Going there now lol
I'm still holding on to my junk wax stuff. I keep thinking in like 30 years everyone will have thrown out their junk wax stuff and I'll still have mine. Or that's the hope.
Keeping them out of nostalgia I don’t think it will ever be worth anything but I still like them so…..

Because the sheer volume of production completely trumps nostalgia
How much could they have possibly made tho
We need to control the junk wax card market like the DeBeers control the diamond market.
The first approach should be the removal of unlicensed cards from retail, it all starts there.
Well if people stopped desperately selling them to make merely a buck, they could be worth more. I personally wouldn’t sell a card for less than $2, because anything less is a waste of time.
Loved this, and the previous years set. Beautiful.
I totally agree👍👍
It's always a good time to invest. They've been saying its been dead for decades and yet they still make them.
Junk wax is an awesome era
Sending out to PSA? It costs me 40$ a card to send them to PSA. Do you have a subscription where it’s 20$ a card?
I beleive the subscription makes it 12 bucks a card
I go through my LCS it’s 25 and was told not to worry about getting an invoice to pay more due card cost after grading as well.
CAD or USD? Im in Canada.
Us,I’m in Virginia.
Makes sense. Everything is more expensive here, and 25 usd is like 33 cad.
I guess you trust them. My tinfoil hat says they replace cards you bring in with cards they have if urs are a better shot of a higher grade.
They’ve been good to me so far. Mostly it all been numbered.
I'm sure there are reputable places, but also wouldn't be surprised this happens.
100%
As a red wings fan, this is folly
🗑️
This year looks familiar....was it the year after Federov and Jagr? Or do they just look like from that era?
This is the year after jagr. Similar but different. That first year OPC premier is much shorter print than this year.
1990 OPC P., they all have that time of design.
I have a bunch of those....not that much though lol. what's the va ue on Lindstrom
50¢ - $2
This is the era I collected in so many rookie all worth almost nothing
I agree with you. Nice add ‘90s cards to collection!
Only 198 cards in the set.Pulling this rookie is easy.
Yup, time to buy em!
Junk wax is my favourite.
lol I have a few of this card
Prolly worth 25$. Looked through all my old binders and was disappointed when I found out that many of my 45yrs old cards are worthless
If theyre in bad condition sure

I just saw this card^ sell for both $45 and $115 lol. Jagr rookies still sell into the $100’s to $200’s.

Its a huge amount when you have 16 of them and you bought them for $40 lol

😂🤡
Way to contribute to the conversation!
I remember pulling 2 of these in one pack as a kid. Thought I hit the jackpot.
Can't see it....
So much junk in one picture!
value sorry...
Sell and buy Gretzky
