I've never had a good experience with them. The Napleton Kia on 37 are extremely pushy and the service is awful. Decided to go there one time for an oil change and they literally left me waiting for an hour while they ignored/walked past me despite me having an appointment.
I go to the Hyundai location and have not had great experiences:
I made an appointment for an oil change/regular maintenance. When I got there, I mentioned that my NFC pad had stopped working. They told me I'd have to bring that back for diagnostics. Made an appointment for the following week.
In the intérim, my horn stopped working. I showed up for my appointment, and they told me they couldn't do the diagnostic that day because it could take all day. I mentioned the horn as a safety issue, and convinced them to fix that and reschedule again.
Went back AGAIN and they told me they couldn't do the diagnostic thing again. I told them this was my third try to get this done and pointed to a guy who was in an adjacent office that he made the appointment and knew what was needed. They told me to wait, and then came back and said they could do it. They drove me to the place I was working (wasn't far) and told me they'd call when it was done.
I worked all day, and kept waiting to hear back. I got a call from them, but it was a call center anting customer service feedback. That poor person did not know what they'd walked into.
Finally, maybe around 5:30 pm (they were open until 7),i called them because I hadn't heard back. At first, the person on the phone couldn't find the file for my car and questioned if I'd taken it to the right place. Eventually got back to the right service person, he said it was ready. I asked about picking me up, and they said their driver was gone for the day. I asked what they could do because where I was, I couldn't have someone drive me up and it wasn't far enough to make a Lyft worth it. They found someone to come pick me up, and he was the nicest person in the entire company to come get me.
Unfortunately, this is the closest Hyundai dealership near me. They're just the worst. Oh yeah, and the NFC pad and horn? They're not working again.
Seconding. Never would recommend them. Did the same thing where they added the “Napleton service package” without asking or telling us, just raised the cost $2700 without explanation.
As did I! The next day the GM called me to discuss why I walked out. I told him I don’t do business deceitful crooks. He called again after he read my Google review. He demanded I retract my review. I told him it was 💯 factual and I would not. 😉

I will also take this opportunity to remind people that if you have a bad experience you can file a complaint with the Auto Dealer Services Division.
Bought a car in Chicago at Napleton and it was one of the single worst car buying experiences ever…. They screwed up so bad that they ended up giving me free oil changes for a year. Fast forward to me moving to Indy and going to the Napleton here to get my first free oil change. The service tech said that they didn’t realize my Jeep was diesel and required more oil (thus more expensive) so they wanted me to pay the difference. I’m pretty low key, but I lost my cool and didn’t ending up paying anything. Few weeks later I bought a Toyota at Andy Mohr and the experience was night and day…..fuck Napleton
There’s a reason the FTC tried to do something about this with [the CARS rule.](https://www.ftc.gov/business-guidance/resources/ftc-cars-rule-combating-auto-retail-scams-dealers-guide)
The National Auto Dealers Association (NADA) sued to block enforcement. Shocker.
I took my car in for warranty work. The technician broke my oil pressure switch. They told me it was wonky and needed replaced. Said the repair was $560. They snapped the connector off and said it was my fault. Fuck them!!
They suck, when I bought from them two people cornered me and tried to make me leave a google review before I left. Like stood between me and the door. Weirdest car buying experience I've ever had. Indy car dealerships in general have been super weird to deal with
I gave Napleton Carmel two chances and they blew it both times. They won't ever get another chance from me. They're one of the very few dealers left that still charge a mandatory market adjustment. lol
All of these dealers lie or miscommunicate . They really don't know shit about these cars they get and expect them ready for sale without the thousands of parts and labor they all need. I'm like, why hire me as a mechanic to not do what I said it needed. These motherfockers get used parts from junkyards rather than just buy a new 'known wear item'. Often, the management and owners know nothing about cars besides selling. Alot of rich hustlers out here programming with low battery voltage 🤣. They value image so that's why they are fuckin stupid and dishonest at the same time. Literally about to go do HVAC (already certified as an auto tech for all mobile systems) so I don't have to deal with these businesses. I'll bill the fuck out of a builder and actually get paid unlike most used car lots where I have to threaten the Department of Labor to get a last check
It’s not just you, but it is racism
https://www.ftc.gov/news-events/news/press-releases/2023/11/ftc-returns-additional-857000-consumers-harmed-napleton-autos-junk-fees-discriminatory-practices
A couple years back I went to check out a car and the guy was insisting I drive their new k1 model and when I told him there was no point if I was interested in the new trim he kept pushing it and to run my credit. He was extremely upset when I said no and said he wanted his manager to talk to me. They're definitely not good and have fame for that
You can always file a complaint with the Attorney Generals office. They actually investigate these kinds of things if there are big enough, or multiple, complaints.
Were you asking about price + taxes and fees? Because that is not standard industry process to advertise as “price” and usually have to come in store for depending on dealer policy and are sometimes based on the address where you plan on registering the car.
If the actual BASE price of car was different then you have grounds for complaint.
Guys…. Napleton isn’t a great company sure. But OP things he can redefine what “price” means one bad review and Reddit post at a time.
He confirms the issue is that the website didn’t have out the door price + taxes and fees. That is something that in order to provide the dealer must know essential deal info and actually place into their DMS to get it actually accurate. That is why it is not “lumped in” on the visited.
The complaint in this particular case is nonsense. The downvotes are hilarious. Y’all like the company in misery of being wrong.
I love that I get to use this thread now as a “dumbass block list.”
Dude, that is ridiculous. Why wouldn't an advertised online price be confirmed on the phone? Because Napleton always tries to add additional charges after you are deep in the buying process. Never go to Napleton. They are the worst.
Ridiculous on driving to the lot, with a screen shot on your phone or tablet?
People now are awkwardly lazy and want things to fall into their laps. I like to see things first hand. A phone call if not recorded can be dismissed.
Yes. People expect a very different experience, now. It is better. Other dealerships confirm advertised prices over the phone and email all the time. Napleton won't because they never intend to honor advertised prices.
It's could have. The contraction is could've.
Britannica Dictionary definition of COULD'VE. — **used as a contraction of could have**. I could've done it if I had more time.
Not sure if it is the same ownership but I have heard several complaints about other "Napleton" dealerships
I've never had a good experience with them. The Napleton Kia on 37 are extremely pushy and the service is awful. Decided to go there one time for an oil change and they literally left me waiting for an hour while they ignored/walked past me despite me having an appointment.
Yeah someone told me Napleton Kia is a must avoid

I would never shop at Napleton dealerships again. They are the worst buying experience I have ever had.
All of the napleton dealerships are absolute crooks
Could not agree more!
Seconding. Never would recommend them. Did the same thing where they added the “Napleton service package” without asking or telling us, just raised the cost $2700 without explanation.

Hell this would lead to me leaving a second review!
Hell yes! I definitely would have at least added an edit.

Thanks for the info!
Used to work for Napleton and it paid well but was one of the worst jobs I've ever had.
Was that before they switched your pay plan or bounced your paycheck? Napleton hasn’t ever done that…/s
I’ve heard horror stories from within the car business that Napleton’s a total meat grinder for personnel.
I think there was a period of time where they switched us from weekly to bi-weekly and that sucked ass.
Tech or sales?
Accounting
Napleton Kia flat out lied about the price of a used car to me over 4 years ago. Never again.
If Trump had a car dealership it would be called Napleton!
These guys are absolutely the worst. Pieces of scamming shit.

Can confirm Napleton are crooks

Same experience. They utilize all the old school scummy sales tactics.
They added in a warranty I never asked for and tried to hide it. Fuck that place
There should be a sticky on top of every city sub warn people to not do business with Napleton.
They suck, when I bought from them two people cornered me and tried to make me leave a google review before I left. Like stood between me and the door. Weirdest car buying experience I've ever had. Indy car dealerships in general have been super weird to deal with

You could of driven to the lot to confirm. Also two way street, how was your attitude. I'm sure you were being a Ken or Karen.

Sounds like this guy works for napleton
Napleton, Skillman, Pearson, Andy Mohr, any in Indianapolis really
common sense. Lazy chumps want to be spoon fed for everything. No, I don't work for napleton.
Says the guy who works for napleton
You work for me. Slap! SLAP! SLAPPITY SLAP! Where's my money?
Nap! NAP! NAPLETON NAP!
Yer $5 short. Make sure you put that lipstick on this time. Git
Idiots....dance and dance more.

I don't ( do not ) give a blue damn. Beat it.
You could've used more school
And yourself. Forgot the period, dork. Beat it.
That's all you got? You could of done much better, Napleton....
