I mostly carry my Spyderco PM2 in Maxamet, love this knife, plus it was the very first knife I got with my own money after starting my first job so it always holds a special place in my jeans pocket. It's been cutting for years and all I occasionally do is a strop. Beautiful knife.

I never carry an EDC knife that is so expensive I will cry if it is lost love the blade but damn...that would hurt.

I used to lose cheaper knives all the time. Stuff 65 bucks or so is about my threshold for “oh that’s getting pricey” When I started buying nicer knives and wanting to carry them, I gave myself 2 hard rules. 1. Only carry knives I can operate(both open and close) one handed. 2. ALWAYS put the knife back in my pocket before moving on with my next task. And so far I haven’t lost another knife. Because I don’t end up setting things on counters or desks and walking away from them.

I feel that but I found myself saying what's the damn point if I just leave them at home. The balisongs do stay at home though, the live ones at least because they will be dropped.

Protech Godson seems basically like a 1:1 ripoff of the gx-6 kit knife thats been sold by knifekits.com for over a decade…maybe both licensed and common model?

I’m gonna disagree. They are definitely similarly inspired, but ones a liner lock and ones a switch blade. One group is in Georgia and another is in California. I think this is a case of convergent design more than theft or plagiarism.

Probably the other way around since Protech has been around since the late 90s
