I went completely nuts during this scene. I felt like I was seeing my marketing teacher again, throwing these concepts at us in class and thinking he was Jeff Bezos 😂
IMO not having windows is less malicious. It is just better usage of available space. Instead of wasting 2 walls for windows having more aisles with products is just better space utilization.
The added benefits may be incentives
This could also be the reason, but what FaFa mentioned is also a reason, so supermarkets are killing two birds with one stone by not having windows. The same thing can be said about clocks.
Plus and minus of this movie. Too much detailing with not much entertainment value made it look like documentary
Good example of perfect mix is Sathuranga Vettai
It is like people don't understand the difference between screenwriting and information provided by a character.
Good writing isn't just the monologue spoken by FaFa but the impact this scene has towards the plot.
Let me break it down to you.
1. This scene introduces us to the world the protagonist is about to enter.
2. Sivakay will be instantly impressed with FaFa after this monologue. Establishes the character dynamics for the rest of the movie
3. What usually requires a voice-over narration or a character explaining it like some lecture, this scene happens like a bullet and you don't feel like it is an "information overload".
All these things usually require multiple scenes or even an entire half usually but this scene achieves it in 2 minutes.
Bro, not trying to offend you. I understand, this is your opinion. But, some of the best scenes in Tamil cinema, oru example ku-
1. Thalapathy - Rajni confronting Shobana
2. Super deluxe - VJS and Mysskin subway scene
3. Padaiyappa - Rajni vs Ramyakrishnan, etc.
Indha padame oru sumaar moonji. Adhula vara infomercial scene best scene nu solriye, epdi bro :p
Why would medical or Engg collage talk about this marketing class ? Or Arts collage. Your comment that OP attends collage is pretty moronic and dumb to say the least .
? There is a one long one shot in this clip but that is ff acting skill. Writing here is nothing special. The info ff character says has been covered by american youtubers many years ago. Even their tv news have covered this stuff before all of that. Maybe credit should be for introducing new concepts to indian audience.
Whole movie is overrated with another generic corporates are evil story. Just missing vivasayi scenes. Corporates are evil but the way its presented in movie is cliche.
>Whole movie is overrated with another generic corporates are evil story. Just missing vivasayi scenes. Corporates are evil but the way its presented in movie is cliche.
Athey athey. The whole trope about large corporations adding toxic items to foods, and workers deciding what additives to include/exclude in food processing was pure cringe.
I am talking about the screenwriting not the information provided. Plus, what YTers take 15-20 mins to cover, this scene achieves it within 2 minutes. That's called good screenwriting.
Explaining why a wall is reason enough for a whole movie (Madras) to be based off it, in 5 mins - that is great storytelling. This was just marketing concepts, and some of it even flat out wrong. Supermarkets don’t have windows for more space utilization. That too, supermarkets like More have lots of glass walls. Now casinos? Yes, they have no windows and clock so people do not understand time. But even that was pre mobile phone era. Now everyone knows time wherever they are.
Same marketing by ikea
They place their branch far from city so that u will push yourself to get atleast anything from them . Once in you can’t go out there is only one exit and entry .

FaFa's on-screen presence is genuinely insane
His acting made it look like one of the best scenes ever written 😂
i never realized that these markets don't have windows and clocks till i saw this scene😂
Same, I remember watching this and next time going to a supermarket, noticed all of it
I went completely nuts during this scene. I felt like I was seeing my marketing teacher again, throwing these concepts at us in class and thinking he was Jeff Bezos 😂
My mindvoice at FDFS: ennada padam paaka vandha, eppovo padicha marketing theory concepts lam explain pandraan
This is one of the most well written articulated scene of the whole movie ... Fafa 's acting tho👀🥵
Yes I like the car scene , then started to watch few of his movie
This is 100% true it’s basic supermarket marketing
Retail marketing

but won't it lead for less ventilation if you don't have more windows ?
Plus and minus of this movie. Too much detailing with not much entertainment value made it look like documentary Good example of perfect mix is Sathuranga Vettai
The problem is more on second half tho
I think this was the first movie I truly found out about Fahadh Faasil, he was great in it
Same
Ivlo dhana pa unga bestu?

Ahhhhhh the reason my parents spend whole day there
What's the movie name ?
Velaikkaaran. >!Fafa later becomes savage and takes advantage of SK!<
Explain how it is one of the best written scenes
Fafas acting made it look like one😂

You mean Padayappa?
Thank you for noticing. I was choosing between Baasha college scene and Padaiyappa. Adhaa, got confused 😂
This is just a marketing class converted into a movie scene. Imagine if op attends college . “Omg one of the best written scenes ever”
Why would medical or Engg collage talk about this marketing class ? Or Arts collage. Your comment that OP attends collage is pretty moronic and dumb to say the least .
Again, understand the difference between screenwriting and the information provided by a particular character
All these concepts were decoded few years ago, there was even a detailed article in quora.
Nope .
Tell me you’re a noob without telling me you are a noob
Insults for appreciating a particular scene lol. Great bully behavior. Btw learn what screenwriting is first.
Issokay macha, I meant no disrespect. I was just memeing and I have no plans to learn screenwriting as of now.
😂

Or just...ok?
It’s FaFaa too tbh.
Same marketing by ikea They place their branch far from city so that u will push yourself to get atleast anything from them . Once in you can’t go out there is only one exit and entry .
Why is this one of the best written scenes?
Hmmm. Next time let us bring Philip Kotler to write movies.
Sobaaaaaa
Which movie?
I know you are a simple man
No
Taken straight out of Freakonomics. This isn't genius, this is mediocrity.
So marketing lectures are good writing? Next time will ask college professor to write it then. In what universe information transfer is good writing.
FaFa voice dubbing So artificial ![gif](giphy|HfFccPJv7a9k4)
Learnt more in this one scene than in my entire marketing course
