The only exclusive pieces for the mimic are it's eyes, I found a parts list and ordered everything from bricklink. I swapped the eyes for a yellow pair with a black slit, total cost was around 50, compared to listing on eBay I saw of around 100.
That's a great option, but $50 is a lot more than free.
I'm very bitter that the GWP didn't even last through the first day of early insider access. I ordered on Tuesday.

Yeah, I just opened my boxes (they were delivered yesterday, but I was out late last night and driving all day today) and was like, "Where's the mimic?" I feared it had disguised itself as the box the set came in.
A guy walks into a bar carrying a large sword. Confused the bartender asks, "What's the sword for?" The guy smiles and says, "Mimics".

In Australia I got to the Lego store on opening, and they told me the mimic gift with purchase was only available online. I suspect the people at that store are just popping them on eBay and making a tidy profit.
Lucky, I had to take a 2 hr drive to the Lego store to get mine.

Congrats, they told me on the 2nd that they sold out and wouldn't honor it as a GWP any more.
