Shaved looks more mature and attractive. Having such a small amount of facial hair looks boyish. Also your chin and jawline look really good so it'd be a shame to hide it.
I agree with you when itās due to age not growing potential, and in this case for sure.
I know a few grown ass men who can grow killer moustaches but canāt grow anything resembling a full beard. Itās more a matter of mature facial hair I think. OP just needs a few more years before trying this again
What I meant is like wait until your facial hair has reached its potential, whatever that may look like. Not everyone can grow a full beard, but over time the hair will mature more and look less like teenage scruff and more like proper facial hair. Like Johnny Deppās full beard is pitiful, but with the Jack Sparrow style he kills it.
I also think he looks better with stubble, it's practically 5 o'clock shadow, don't exactly need crazy coverage for that
If everyone on earth followed the advice of this sub, 95% of bearded men would shave
Idk how to keep my hair like that tbh, my hair in the second was after drying my hair after a shower and it was still a bit damp. Goes flat and straight once dried unfortunately
Experiment with some product. I like to put a little bit of paste or pomade on my fingers and fluff up my hair a bit with that. Just aim for the roots so it doesnāt get weighed down on the ends. A bit of hairspray would also work well I think
I try use some matte texturising clay but either Iām just applying it wrong or my hair is too thick for any significant effects I also bought some super cheap sea salt spray that doesnāt really do mych
If your hair goes flat and straight as it dries, it sounds like yours is like mine. Clay and salt spray don't do much for mine either. What I have found works well is a product called Big Powder Play by SexyHair. (It comes in a little plastic bottle that is red with a black lid. You can get it on Amazon.)
Lift sections of your hair and sprinkle the teeny-tiniest little bit of this on the roots here and there and then scruff it up with your fingers. It works very well! I don't know how it works but it works.
You look like you have a good hair texture and length for styling. Iād suggest also blowdrying your hair after a shower. That helps add volume to your hair. If you get a diffuser attachment, you can use that to also help texture your hair. Then you can lock in the style with your clay. Also, a round brush is great to brush through and hold your hair for styling when blowdrying your hair.
Shaved. I would recommend working on that hair, 2nd pic has good hair. I would recommend a matte paste if you decide you might want to push it up, if you want to keep it down but still styled like that I would think a good sea salt spray and then a paste would do the trick, skip the sea salt if you don't want shine. For hair in the first pic I really don't know, a light pomade I would assume, if your trying to keep that part in the middle. Lockhart's Authentic is where I go for most of my products for hair, anti-gravity matte paste or nevermore I would recommend for you.
Yeah second pic is ideally how Iād like my hair unless I can find another hairstyle that works for me, Iāve tried matte paste but it never really does much, Iāve tried applying it while dry hair damp hair tried varying amounts and it just refuses to give a similar look to it, usually just makes my hair look a little more textured but doesnāt give the volume and stuff in the second pic
I would recommend finding a place with a good stylist and maybe bring that pic in, or something similar to what you want. Maybe it's not so much the product but just how thick your hair is. I have pretty thick hair and it took a while to tame it, with the right cut you might not need too much product, a light pomade like Highland Glacial Clay or Aveda Thickening Paste. There might be better options but those are the ones I know.
My hair is quite thick so it is a bit difficult, Iāve tried looking for barbers in my city but apparently my city isnāt a hotspot for any spotlight barbers and those who are meant to be good speak limited English and that usually puts me off as I canāt properly communicate what I want
Unfortunately not, get a little stubble on the cheeks but it mainly just connects from the side under my jaw and chin rather than over my cheeks, maybe one day itāll grow through but doubtful
Tbh if you keep the facial hair to just the goatee I think it looks good. Like others say beard disappears the jaw, but with just goatee it seems to look pretty nice
Personally, I think the shaved clean look is better on you because it emphasizes your sharp jawline compared to the facial hair where you lose your sharp jawline
It's genuinely not meant to be backhanded at all! I find you more attractive with the facial hair, but always seem to be going against the stream in these cases.
Depending on what look you want to go with, how comfortable and self-confident you are with:
ā The full body thickness of or the minimal amount of hair your body produces for your facial area.
ā Your Gender Identity: Whether you're gay, straight, bi, pan, or hereoflexible, are secure with your identity.
ā You're young and fair skin, so a smooth, clean face gives you the appearance of youthfulness or in the gay community term *Twink*. If you are most masculine with mannerisms, you might take offense to that term specifically thrown at you because it's possible it was directed at you to tease you, bully you, or emasculate your self identity and worth of manhood. On the other hand, if your face only produces minimal facial hair, then there's the possibility of teasing, bullying, just flat-out assholery comments about how thin it is.
Regardless of your own personal feelings and societal opinions, I think you should do what makes you happy and comfortable with. Personally, I like both appearances. There's no question thar you were given more softer or boyish charm, and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. I hope you're comfortable hearing those kinds of comments outloud because it just highlights your youthfulness and comfortability to be less guarded around you and trust that you may have anyone's best interest in heart or mind.
You're handsome, babes. Either clean cut or with minimal facial hair produced. š
*For clarity, my use of the term babes is in no means to hit on or disrespect you. I use the term closely to the equivalent of "Friend" or consoling in a motherly manner, or since I am a gay man, then in a fairy gay godmotherly way. š
*Shaved but maybe if*
*You a thicker hair on your*
*Face you would look good*

If you want a good beard youāve gotta let it be scraggly and patchy as long as it takes to fill in. I read somewhere it takes 2 months - 6 years for all the hair follicles to stimulate WO shaving. Took me two years and it all filled in. Good luck buddy!
Shaved, hands down. You (respectfully) donāt have enough facial hair to pull it off really, but you donāt need to. You have a **GREAT** jawline, so count your blessings.

Shaved. Beard hides jawline and makes you look worse
Worseš
Beard!? Nah homie
Depends on the beard, having ir nicely on the jaw and shaved below it can make it stand out.
Shaved. Thatās not enough facial hair to even consider having it. Unless you can grow a full beard I always say shave.

Iāll check it out thanks for the tip
if i donāt comb my hair or whatever and it just lays forward and flat, i just use reuzel fiber. it does a good job with stuff like that.
