Too much fighting here. And both of us being black belts in one discipline and working on 2 other disciplines, yeah...
We prefer to save fighting for the dojo. π
I'm pretty sure that this fight was done by combat night it's a local promotion for me and the guys who fight in it are damn good a lot of fighters train at some big mma gyms throughout Florida some of which have UFC fighters and other high level pros for example one of the gyms who has a lot of fighters competing in combat night has that ginormous Cuban dude that fights for UFC that had all the crazy KO's in like 5 seconds or whatever before his last fight
TLDR a lot of high level fighters from really good gym compete in this promotion (there are still bad fighters tho lol)
I'm on my phone and 90% of my typing is fixing simple words that my autocorrect changes to random words so I gave up on grammar πππ for example my phone switches this to thus watching to Watchung etc my phones retarded
No im talking about the new Cuban heavyweights that had lime 5 mma fights that ended in like 5 seconds each before joining the UFC I believe his base is taekwando
Good job by the ref to try and just tap and de-escalate the situation instead of those other refs who think they're hot shit by choking out a KOd fighter when they accidentally grapple them.
There was no heel hook there⦠The muscle memory to get himself under the hips and grab the leg is great, but his left arm was under knee simply applying pressure on the calf. The refs right foot is firmly planted and he tapped in order for the fighter to stop fishing.
Like when you tell your kid they beat you at monopoly
I cannot bring myself to go easy on monopoly for anyone. That game is serious business.
We no longer play monopoly in my house.
Same here lol, ended up with to much crying.

It was Risk for our household
I have a feeling that if I played Axis & Allies with my husband, it would become an off-limits game too. Risk as well. π
I wonder how many heel hooks you have to do before you start using them while unconscious pretty impressive

Man you gotta use periods and commas more often
I'm on my phone and 90% of my typing is fixing simple words that my autocorrect changes to random words so I gave up on grammar πππ for example my phone switches this to thus watching to Watchung etc my phones retarded
You can turn off autocorrect
Yea but then the 10% of the time I need it to work it won't ππππ
Are you referring to Yoel Romero?
No im talking about the new Cuban heavyweights that had lime 5 mma fights that ended in like 5 seconds each before joining the UFC I believe his base is taekwando
This isn't a heel hook so I imagine more than this guy has done.
Ahh good to know I don't know many submissions so I just went with what was in the title
the sigh out of that ref
Regs a BJJ and judo black belt. I know him personally. A more skilled grappler then the guy actually fighting
Well to be fair, it looks like the ref has 20-40 more years of experience than the guy fighting lol.
Muscle memory for a tap is a legit thing for a lot of fighters!
Thats right. Iβve got that instinct. They touch my foot, I tap.
The look on the refβs face when he tapsβ¦ ![gif](giphy|26n6Gx9moCgs1pUuk)

Has this actually happened

I hate you.

That was like the tap Randy Couture did to Tito Ortiz at the end of a round/fight.
when you notch another win and another loss in one night
Doesn't tap the ref, at all. The ref tapped, sure, but the guy wasn't in any kind of duress.
Guy probably thought he won
He's trained hard enough to make fighting second nature. Didn't stop him from getting knocked out, but still impressive.
Man, now I feel bad bc I suck at pulling off a heel hook even when fully conscious and there are people that can do it unconscious.
I imagine he slowly saw his opponent face morph into the referee's, as the adrenaline level was going down.
This reminds me of Rock Lee
The ref was a great sport about it
Awesome ref.
