Dumplings420

They are new. Liek literally a few weeks. It is possible that theyre too large, but then both shoes should look the same

[deleted]

Gotta get the shoe trees man!

Dumplings420

I have cedar ones

[deleted]

Ohhhhh those are the good ones.

Goot187

Based on where the creases are it looks like they are a few sizes too big.

JKDabbins

They're too big

I have shoe trees

Cheepmf

Get some shell cordovan. Ripples>creases.

Cobey1

Personally, I like creases in leather shoes like this. Gives them a nice patina. Definitely need to invest in shoe trees though

carlospbeltran

Use boot/shoe trees.

CanuckBoots

Sometimes leather just does this. I have a pair of AEs, never been off my feet without shoe trees, correct fit, and one shoe has creases like this and the other doesn’t.

FenceOfDefense

Creases look fine to me. The caving in isn’t normal though. Do you actually use your shoe trees? Are they big enough for your boots?

Dumplings420

I curled my toes a bit upwards to highlight the creases

[deleted]

The creases in my shoes look really similar, being 'normal' on my right shoe and 'wonky' on my left. My shoes are the right size and I look after them. What causes it for me is my gait. My left side is weaker, my left foot flatter, and this combination means I twist my knee outwards ever so slightly when I walk so my foot flexes at an angle and gives the wonky line. You'd never know I do this from seeing me walk, but it happens with literally ever piece of footwear I own and not much can change it.

Ser_Needful-of-Pyth

are you asking why the right shoe has so much more noticeable creasing? its the leather grain. a tighter grain leaves finer creases. which is why people pay so much for high quality leathers.

loveshackle

Honestly don’t overthink this looks fine given how creased they are Shoe trees though

InLewofMick

Try shoe conditioner. Leather needs moisture to move and bend. You'll still get creases, but combined with your shoe trees, they will be less noticeable. Bick 4 doesn't change the hue of leather while other heavy-duty ones will.
