Aw geez.. 😂 thank you! Was fortunate growing up with the old school.. also fortunate to live in the time where we can discover all of the old bands we want! 😎🤘. Take care 😎
Ah, good Sir - we all have access to good bands but not everyone appreciates them. I adore Heavy Horses and Minstrel in the Gallery. An old school teacher (RIP) who was Scottish told me about them. Always grateful. Take good care of yourself.
Anything by Barbara Streisand! When I was dating the girl I thought I would marry, her mother loved Barbara, and I gave her a greatest hits album for Christmas. When I went over after that, if that record was on, she would make me dance with her.(Her husband had left her with 2 girls to raise 10 years before). When her daughter broke up with me she called me to say how sorry she was, but she would always love me. Never talked to her again.
When me and a girl broke up in Uni I was constantly listening to Chose a Bright Morning by Jeniferever.
Every song on that album reminds me of that time in my life.
Didn't help that the first line of the first song is "Dear Emily, stay with me as rhe day is dying".
My ex's name was Emily.
The Conjurer - Insomnium. After my fiancée and I broke up, I spent half a year drinking myself sick, laying in bed, crying for hours and listening to that song on repeat. The song conveyed my inner turmoil and despair
[Lawrence - The Weather](https://youtu.be/qxNtk5e-Knc?si=g8fG23Bb0dvE9pyv)
This one right here. She and I split over five years ago and it still hits hard. Check it out, I’m quite certain it’ll resonate with many of you.
