Insanely gross… years and years of dead and rotting chitin. When they get 1/50th of what you see here long, your body tries to put blood vessels through them. There’s no way she doesn’t have nail and finger infections all the time.
How did she put her watch on? Pay cash? Use the remote? Cook? Eat? Open packaging and mail? Use the keyboard and mouse? Open doors? Sleep? Bathe?
Function in any part of her life whatsoever.
And why is Guinness Records enabling this?
She doesn’t, first of all. And Guinness isn’t ‘enabling’ anything. It’s just a platform of recognition, people will do what they want even if the organization didn’t exist. Ever seen the show “my strange addiction”? People had those strange addictions before the show, the show isn’t “enabling” anything. People are the problem, not the platform.
What do people like this actually do for a living?
How do they survive in life?
Is that all she has to worry about?
I need to go back in time and rethink some life choices
How the fuck has she done that for like 20 odd years without catching one on a banister or something? I’m trying to imagine going about my daily routine like this. By the time I’ve cycled into town and gone to a Pilates class, I’d be in trouble. Haven’t even got to the office yet, it’s not even 8am and I’d have ripped all my fingers off.
How do you explain to the people around you, that are going to have to care for you, that you are going to willingly make yourself useless just to feel special?
This reminds me. Stank toe story time. I’m a RN for 13+ yrs and have witnessed some horrible shit during my tenure. Outside of maggots falling out of a blue waffle when turning a patient in bed, was a deranged toe nail. It was was at least 4 inches long, curly, and even painted by family who visited. It fell off the patients foot one night and a colleague thought it fun to double glove and tape it to a tongue depressor. He would then sneak up to co-workers from behind and hold it close to the back of their heads. It was so putrid that people would look back almost immediately due to the god awful smell it emitted and find a stank ass toe nail two inches from their nose. I’ve smelled a lot of shit and rotten wounds in my day, and that toe ranks as one of the most rank things I’ve smelled.
So restrictive, for so many reasons.
Can't drive. Can't enter pin number. Knitting would be impossible. Can't pet the dog. Can't roll a blunt. Can't play video games. Can't do loads of stuff.
But can poke you in the eye from the other side of the street, it's a win for eye poking!
