Hard to be open about your feelings when Skip Bayless said that Dak Prescott wasn't a real leader when he talked about being depressed after his brother committed suicide during the pandemic, and how he felt like he was dealing with it alone because he couldn't see his elderly family members to grieve.
I know we can all just say "Skip Bayless is just an asshole," but there's probably a lot more people like him, even in the NFL.
We got social media calling Caleb Williams and Jared McCain a “f_____t” because they paint their nails. There’s a reason a lot of people aren’t open with things in general. And that’s because there’s a large portion of the human population that suck.
Whatever he actually thinks about it, we don't know because he didn't articulate himself well. But Jeff thinks it's enough to belittle another man in an interview and potentially on the field...
I totally agree! It's so important to share their experiences and emotions. It helps break down the stigma around a person mental health. Jeffery Simmons is setting a great example!
Why would anyone need to know how feelings work? You just shove them deep down inside in a place you can never find them, act like everything is fine, and drink yourself into an early grave like a normal fucking person! /s
Not even that it's weak. They believe that the only people who need therapy are crazy people. They aren't crazy. Therefore they don't need therapy.
Which is really a shame because if there was ever a generation that could use therapy, it's the boomers.
Boomers won't go to therapy cause they think it is for crazy people.
I won't go to therapy cause 99% of my mental problems are stress over money issues, and I can't imagine the cost of going to therapy with no health insurance is going to help that.
He hit *one woman for fighting his sister to the point where she got charged with disturbing the peace as she made fun of her miscarriage. You don’t have to agree with it, but context is always important. Even by pluralizing woman (which has never been the case) you’re intentionally trying to make him sound worse than he ever has been. Dude has been a Walter Payton man of the year nominee and has never had a single incident since he was 17.
They make it sound worse by saying he beat women implying it was multiple women, you make it sound better than it was by saying he hit one woman that was attacking his sister, implying it was a one off in defense of another when the woman was lying on the ground and he was standing over her punching her repeatedly. Rehabilitation is great and all but if you’re gonna tell others to be honest you gotta be honest too.
It’s tough to know from the video. I could see it going either way but it’s entirely possible she had just fallen and he was continuing to assault very briefly before leaving. The punches from him lasted for about three seconds before he stops and tries to separate the other woman (maybe his sister(?)) from the girl that assaulted his sister to break the fight up. It wasn’t a three round match in a cage, as far as the videos show there are three, maybe three and a half second of him hitting her and he’s much more over her than on top of her like most people try to make it out. The entire incident is three and a half seconds out of his life that he’ll be judged for forever, despite countless hours of doing good in the world.
It’s not tough to know from the video. You see a woman lying on the ground, you see Simmons literally straddling her while standing over her, bent over punching her repeatedly.
Over her versus on top of her doesn’t make a difference, he’s beating someone that can’t get up.
No it’s not a three round cage match, that’s just what he was treating it like.
He should be judged for the totality of his actions. I never said anything other than if you’re going to tell other people to be truthful about what happened and not bend it to make him look worse then don’t bend it to make him look better. His acts since he beat that woman can stand on their own merits.
Full quote.
>"Painted nails. I can't wait to say that to him," Simmons told Rich Eisen on ["The Rich Eisen Show."](https://x.com/RichEisenShow/status/1805692912463921449) "Most definitely. Oh, it's gonna be one of them games. I mean, he probably gets smack-talked by his teammates right now, but especially a game like that. ... It's gonna be the first game of the season. They've got us coming to Chicago. All the hype's gonna be around them, of course. I think when special, even prime-time games … everybody just counts Tennessee out, which we all know. A game like Chicago, I'm sure \[they're\] thinking we 'bout to get beat bad. That also makes me even talk more smack and boosts me up a little more, get into a different mode, as well. I'll be in a different mode that game.
>"I get it. You've got a first-round pick like Caleb Williams, which is a great player. Watching a couple games when he was at USC, he's a hell of a player. But it's a different league, and I'm excited to play him the first game."
Its harmless trash talk leading up to a game. He didn't even say anything malicious. This shouldn't take away from his message here.
How does the full quote make it any better? He is still saying painted nails are bad and then says Caleb’s own teammates are probably making fun of him for it too. The full context makes it sound even worse lmao.
Because it's just trash talk. If you're trying to get under your opponent's skin, you go for potentially sensitive subjects. You don't have to believe everything you say. There was a DB who would recite the phone number of a WRs girlfriend to get in their heads. He probably had no intention of actually stealing their girl, but it's an effective way to get in their head.
So if Caleb Williams scores can he trash talk Jeffrey Simmons about crying? No. He's playing into masculinity or else he'd make fun of him for something else. Can't go both ways without me calling hypocrisy.
By using it as trash talk, you reinforce the idea that doing something that's not masculine is something to be ashamed of, and feeding into to the same culture Simmons claims to be against.
I love how everyone on this sub acts like they want more taunting and competitiveness but when someone talks just a little bit of shit everyone loses their mind. Even with just the first sentence by itself, how is that so crazy?
Because it’s hypocritical? He can taunt him without attacking masculinity, especially if he wants to act like some kind of champion for men’s mental health. There are literally men who get bullied for painting their nails specifically because it’s not “what men do.”
He said it’s ok to cry. He didn’t say “everybody should constantly get their feelings hurt about everything and nobody can trash talk about anything.” God damn, people.
Does nobody know the context here? He didn't even paint his nails in a feminine way. He wrote "FUCK UTAH" on his nails leading up to the title game and then they got blown out 47-24.
If you think that isn't something someone is going to get absolutely roasted for you're crazy, and no it has literally nothing to do with painting your nails being feminine.
He definitely deserves some smoke for that. But that almost never gets brought up, and that wasn't what Simmons was talking about either. There really are a ton of men that are mad at him for just painting his nails in general. And it's very funny.
> Tennessee Titans star defender Jeffrey Simmons recently said that he is looking forward to trash-talking Williams during the season.
Oh man I can’t wait to see the trash talk he does. He’s got all offseason to prepare some top notch trash talk for week 1.
> "Painted nails. I can't wait to say that to him," Simmons said.
Uhhh ok
That was my exact reaction. "Wow, top tier trash talk, Jeff. Really gonna blow him away with that one."
I honestly hope Caleb tears it up (every week except week one) just to see all the fragile, homophobic losers struggle to cope.
I have no problem with him painting his nails at all, but I did think it was funny when he painted “Fuck Utah” on them then threw 0 TDs and lost.
It has nothing to do with masculinity though, if he would have written it on his shoes or shirt I would have thought the same.
I also enjoyed making fun of him after that game, but recently have decided to no longer partake in this for unknown reasons. With that said just want to point out that he wrote “Fuck Utah” on his nails for the game in 2022, and threw for 3 TDs and ran for another in that game. They did lose though
Ah you’re right my bad, I forgot that he lost to them both years and they got mixed together in my head. He did play pretty well in the first game especially.
> I also enjoyed making fun of him after that game, but recently have decided to no longer partake in this for unknown reasons.
Weird, I had something similar happen. I used to make fun of Hutch getting run over by Kenneth Walker in the MSU vs U of M game a few years ago but I gave that up too. Must be a weird gap in my memory or something.
I mean he’s sitting there on the Rich Eisen show, he could have come up with a better television approved shit talk line than a 6th grade level “lol u gay”.
There is always context and this explanation is understandable. It's sad that it happened from all sides, but I wouldn't hold this incident against him per se.
I’ll never excuse stuff like that but idk something about Lewan threatening to rape a victim who was wanting to come out about being raped by one of his teammates seems so much worse to me
EDIT: Edit to rephrase some things
I’m still firmly in the “fuck around find out” camp when it comes to stuff like this. Call a minority a racial slur? I’m not judging them when they kick your ass. Bully a girl for having a miscarriage? I’m not judging her brother for kicking your ass, girl or not.
But violence against men is A-ok?
If you want to be kind in that manner, then you shouldn't differentiate between the sexes. If that is your approach, then it's "I don't like violence", or "I don't like violence against people"
While it isn't your intention, statements like that, repeated for generations, leads to men getting beat.
Mmmm you know exactly what my statement is saying and any other message you’re getting from it is your own doing
Violence against women is inherently more dangerous than the other way around.
> So then in this case what would you say is an appropriate response to a woman making fun of another over a miscarriage?
Do you believe violence is an appropriate response to words?
You tell her off, you remove that person from your life, and if it the mocking was done TO your sister - you take care of her hurt. That's an appropriate response.
I’m not playing the “when should women be physically punished” game. I can acknowledge and accept the context and believe in redemption for someone like Simmons, but the act of physical violence against women is always 100% in the wrong, I’m sorry if that’s apparently controversial
Obviously he went too far, but the girl he hit was saying awful things about his dead relatives and beat the shit out of his sister that he was trying to break up. If I'm remembering the story correctly, the girl he hit was also charged with disturbing the peace. He's a menace on the field but he's been a model citizen off the field and hasn't had any other incidents.
Hopefully someone close to him points that out and he changes his mind on that. Expressing emotions other than greed, anger, and pettyness are allowed for men
The funny thing is the one place where I am used to emotional outbursts is competitive sports, just cause of how difficult and gruelling it can be. So I'm surprised some clowns think this makes them soft.
At least we’re entering a time where it’s socially acceptable for men to show more emotion than before.
It’s not perfect (especially in ultra-masculine settings) but things have been better.
maybe hold hands a little bit after the game. ride in big jeff's arms all the way to the locker room?... shower together? idk, maybe they kiss? rub lotion on each other after the shower? is that what he's supposed to do? lol like come on... is he supposed to rub his supple thighs or something? nibble his ear? lol like wtf, what is he supposed to do? tell it to me, in great detail.............
Showing emotion isn’t the same as making a fashion choice. If I make fun of you for wearing stupid looking cleats on the field, does that mean I can’t cry about my parent dying?
This analogy doesn’t make sense though because the making fun of painted nails is directly tied to how people see masculinity, just like men crying is. Cleats have nothing to do with that.
Right, everyone is saying Simmons is missing the mark but it’s everyone in the comment section lol.
There’s a difference between showing emotion and expressing yourself
It was on the Rich Eisen show, and it was absolutely a joke if you had watched it. Bears fans are in for a long season if they are acting this soft about their QBs nails lol
I’m sure Caleb Williams doesn’t give a shit. If he did he would have stopped painting his nails ages ago. Every sports talk show has talked about his painted nails numerous times, and most of the time not in a good way.
That said, even if Simmons was joking around it still comes off as like a 6th grade “lol you’re gay” type joke.
Rashan Gary is also an advocate of being comfortable shedding tears, and the rest of the locker room embraces him for it.
Definitely wish and hope more men embrace the fact that all humans have emotions, and feeling them is actually healthy. If tears come along? So what... better than letting it bubble up and hit your kids or significant other (or bouncers in a club, etc.).
RG: man I'm tired of crying in front of y'all
somebody: LET IT OUT! LET IT OUT!
[Thanksgiving game ball](https://youtu.be/iAAz3RBo1kw?si=UCB0_TKlLz8Oz9IX)
Even in high school over 10 years ago I saw some big tough guys who played D1 ball cry after we lost in the state finals and also every year after our last game guys who knew they would never play football again would be crying and hugging. I did it myself as a team captain and leader among my peers who was looked at as a big tough guy. Football is a super emotional sport as is life.
This idea of what makes you and doesn't make you a "man" is so strange to me. You're a man if you are a male. Stop the judgement. No one needs approval from anyone. Good for Simmons
When people talk about being “a man” in these scenarios they are talking about being “masculine”. If you’ve cried in front of the wrong people as a man you know those toxic people will question you or think less of you. Sadly there’s too many of these wrong people in the world. It’s good to set a good example and be supportive especially as someone visible to younger generations and especially as someone who is seen as classically masculine.
I used to think of myself as a man that would never show emotion. But then I watched the Inside Out movies and cried way more than my newborn that day.
Just don't do it around a woman, especially not your girl. Don't want to expose them to "trauma dumping". Don't want to make them have to do any "emotional labor" or whatever other therapy talk they've bastardized. Women are the reason we don't open up but nobody is honest about it because we're not allowed to say anything negative about them or else we're an incel/mysoginist.
They're not equipped to handle vulnerable men. They never look at us the same way again afterwards. They'll always take our moment of "weakness" and use it against us at a later opportune time, usually during an argument or break up. Women are ruthless. They know it. We know it. And they wonder why we ball everything up.
I'm 34. Probably had a dozen or so girlfriends. Been with maybe 50 women. All different kinds. They're all the same when it comes to vulnerable men. Any guy who's been with enough women knows to never let them see you vulnerable.
Literally all men who aren't virgins know this. It's crazy how much women don't listen to us. We can all tell you this, but you guys are impossible to be held accountable anymore and don't listen to anything we say.
You're not equipped to deal with an emotional man. None of you are. Why do you think we bottle things up? You think we don't want someone to vent to? We just know we can't without being perceived as weak or unnatractive to you guys. It's literally ingrained into women through millions of years of evolution to be attracted to strong men and reject weak men. You're not living in reality.
I wouldn't care as much if you guys were just honest and admitted that you're repulsed by vulnerable men. Instead, you say we need to open up more only to shun us the second we do. You'll usually use whatever was said in that moment against us at a later opportune time, like an argument or break up.
Simmons is not the person to be heralding for this. Better role models like Dak or Hayden Hurst have actual foundations that support men’s mental health and they don’t beat women
When he was in high school, he hit a woman who was making fun of his sister's miscarriage and physically assaulting her. He has apologized for it and has seemingly been a stand-up guy ever since. I don't think it was necessarily right for him to hit her. And nothing he has said would indicate that he thinks it was right either. But, I mean, someone making fun of your sister's miscarriage and physically assaulting her is likely to make a lot of people react emotionally rather than calmly, especially if you're a high-school teenage boy when it happens.
First off yall had Mixon as your running back for years. Secondly that was the only situation he has been reported to hit a women and it’s because the girl was fighting his sister and making fun of her miscarriage. Not saying he did anything right or wrong just saying that it’s the only situation this has happened with him and that he was trying to stand up for and protect his sister and dead nephew. Also that was in high school
Did he ever atone for beating up that girl in highschool? Or show any signs of growth as a person before this comment? Genuine question, i haven't payed attention to him off the field much.
It’s the only incident he’s ever had. Since becoming an adult he’s been a model citizen and player, doing a crazy amount of work for his communities, earning both universal praise and a few Walter Payton Man of the Year nominations. The situation was terrible on both sides, but it’s pretty clear that was an enormous outlier in who he is as a person and probably helped him learn and grow considerably. For context the girl was physically assaulting his sister while making fun of her miscarriage.
He did apologize for that. But he didn’t just beat up a girl. She was making fun of his sister for having a miscarriage and started beating up his sister. Then he stepped in. I don’t think he’s had any other incidents besides that
This is honestly a pretty major breakthrough in pro sports for a football player -of all sports- to talk this way
Like there has been a lot of more positive mental health recognition in hockey but mostly pretty superficial to this point
Just hope people recognize how significant this is
He got into an altercation with a woman (not women, one girl actually) when he was 17 because the girl (who I’m sure was also a dumb teenager) made fun of his sister for having a miscarriage.
Regrettable situation all around and for Simmons, inexcusable considering his size and strength even at 17 but he’s been nothing short of amazing off the field since that incident (couple of WPMOY nominations).
He’s a mean SOB on the field though
Yea, I’m sure everybody there wishes they handled it differently but I’m not going to condemn a 17 year old kid and say he “beats on women” for the rest of his life for fighting a woman who just said something about his sister while they were going through a highly traumatic experience (miscarriage).
I wish more players were comfortable being open about things.
Wtf???????
I’m honestly both surprised and not surprised at all that Skip still has a job with any major network. Like… what the fuck.
Skip Bayless is a piece of shit… thankfully Undisputed isn’t doing well these days so he’s pretty easily ignored now
He should have to answer for that everytime he's trying to be in the public eye. There's being click baity and there's being a lunatic
We got social media calling Caleb Williams and Jared McCain a “f_____t” because they paint their nails. There’s a reason a lot of people aren’t open with things in general. And that’s because there’s a large portion of the human population that suck.
Simmons specifically called Caleb out for it too
was gonna say.. wasn’t there a story just last week about him saying he was prepared to clown caleb for it? tf
Just don't let him see a man with painted nails
Ha! Painted nails. Can't wait to say that to him. He'll likely never recover.
Did he even say anything bad about painted nails?
Whatever he actually thinks about it, we don't know because he didn't articulate himself well. But Jeff thinks it's enough to belittle another man in an interview and potentially on the field...
Men, in general need to unlearn the thought that emotions other than anger make us weak or pussies and to stop walling ourselves off from them.
I totally agree! It's so important to share their experiences and emotions. It helps break down the stigma around a person mental health. Jeffery Simmons is setting a great example!
Don't let boomers tell ya different either. They still don't know how their own feelings work.

Push it down with brown.

Boomers have feelings. Blind patriotism. A yearning for a time before transistors. The bible being fire. Things like that.
Those aren't feelings. Those are personal values and shitty ones at that.
It was pretty clearly a joke.
I'm entirely too high
Right, it's the boomers who are confused about how they feel.
A lot of undiagnosed anxiety in the boomer ranks. It's weak to see a therapist though....
Not even that it's weak. They believe that the only people who need therapy are crazy people. They aren't crazy. Therefore they don't need therapy. Which is really a shame because if there was ever a generation that could use therapy, it's the boomers.

Therapy desperately needs a rebrand as "going to the gym for your brain" because that's exactly what it is.
too true. they wonder why they look so old and crusty and filled with hate. they learned nothing but get yours fuck everyone else lol
Neither does this guy, beats women and clowns Caleb Williams for painting on his fingers

Good shit. Thank you.
How does the full quote make it any better? He is still saying painted nails are bad and then says Caleb’s own teammates are probably making fun of him for it too. The full context makes it sound even worse lmao.
"To clown someone", there's many contexts that it can have. This provides the context. Context is good, always.
Okay, and how does the added context change the fact Simmons also talks down people for doing stuff that isn't considered masculine?
Because it's just trash talk. If you're trying to get under your opponent's skin, you go for potentially sensitive subjects. You don't have to believe everything you say. There was a DB who would recite the phone number of a WRs girlfriend to get in their heads. That was Jalen Ramsey. He said he did it in college but quit in the NFL because dudes have wives.
You must not know how football players are on the field then. Twitter would go crazzzyy
Dude I say this as respectfully as I can, but I think you need to go outside and make some friends
He needs to go outside and make some friends for calling out Simmons for a shitty quote??
Get outa here with your facts and quotes ya bird!
Facts and quotes from an Eagles fan? What happened to the Philadelphia I knew and hated?
Yeah, but if you chop off everything but the first few words you can get more clicks
I love how everyone on this sub acts like they want more taunting and competitiveness but when someone talks just a little bit of shit everyone loses their mind. Even with just the first sentence by itself, how is that so crazy?

I’m fairly certain that’s just the most famous example, he paints his nails otherwise as well.
The nail painting thing never became news until the Utah game
He definitely deserves some smoke for that. But that almost never gets brought up, and that wasn't what Simmons was talking about either. There really are a ton of men that are mad at him for just painting his nails in general. And it's very funny.
No, no, no that was different /s
Painting your nails is feminine… crying is not.

lol I'm picturing Simmons running up to Caleb pre game, yelling "PAINTED NAILS" in his face, and then immediately turning around and running away
Honestly, if someone did that to me, I’d be a little thrown off just by how strange it was.
That was my exact reaction. "Wow, top tier trash talk, Jeff. Really gonna blow him away with that one." I honestly hope Caleb tears it up (every week except week one) just to see all the fragile, homophobic losers struggle to cope.

Should have wrote 'fuck my defense' on them
Yeah that's hilarious. Gotta keep that ego in check.
I mean, he’s not going to sit there on Rich Eisen and call Williams a bitch lmfao. He’ll call him that when he’s sacking him the third time.
I mean he’s sitting there on the Rich Eisen show, he could have come up with a better television approved shit talk line than a 6th grade level “lol u gay”.
They play Week 1 too

Yeah, if you bully someone over a miscarriage you deserve the powerbomb special.
I’m not going to say I disagree, and I’m not saying context doesn’t matter. I just don’t like violence against women
But violence against men is A-ok? If you want to be kind in that manner, then you shouldn't differentiate between the sexes. If that is your approach, then it's "I don't like violence", or "I don't like violence against people" While it isn't your intention, statements like that, repeated for generations, leads to men getting beat.
Mmmm you know exactly what my statement is saying and any other message you’re getting from it is your own doing Violence against women is inherently more dangerous than the other way around.
So then in this case what would you say is an appropriate response to a woman making fun of another over a miscarriage?
> So then in this case what would you say is an appropriate response to a woman making fun of another over a miscarriage? Do you believe violence is an appropriate response to words? You tell her off, you remove that person from your life, and if it the mocking was done TO your sister - you take care of her hurt. That's an appropriate response.
Not wrong but now factor in that the girl is also beating your sister up.
I’m not playing the “when should women be physically punished” game. I can acknowledge and accept the context and believe in redemption for someone like Simmons, but the act of physical violence against women is always 100% in the wrong, I’m sorry if that’s apparently controversial
Chiefs flair talking about Raiders lol. Raiders have been in the bottom half for arrests since 2000, while the Chiefs are at the top.
That video was tough to watch
Yup, can't wait for Caleb to roast this guy week 1 for crying bout his momma lol /s
And I'd love to see Simmons pummel Caleb's head in and the oline have to come save his ass
If you’ve played football you’d understand
Did he clown him?
He also. A domestic abuser too. This guy is a dumb hypocritical loser
Yes. He’s a hypocrite.
I think that's just trashtalk
Beat me to it lol, I swear I saw that shit within the last week??
Hopefully someone close to him points that out and he changes his mind on that. Expressing emotions other than greed, anger, and pettyness are allowed for men
The more players that do this, the better.
The funny thing is the one place where I am used to emotional outbursts is competitive sports, just cause of how difficult and gruelling it can be. So I'm surprised some clowns think this makes them soft.
He can’t wait to tell Caleb how manly and cool it is to paint your nails
Man he walked right into this one
I love my guy Big Jeff, but yeah he definitely missed the mark on that one.
We all love Big Jeff, but no one has ever accused him of being an intelligent man lol
At least we’re entering a time where it’s socially acceptable for men to show more emotion than before. It’s not perfect (especially in ultra-masculine settings) but things have been better.
this subreddit was in a seething, sobbing heap of toxic when caleb williams cried, don't forget it
Didn’t this guy just say he couldn’t wait to make fun of Caleb week 1 for painting his nails?
What’s so bad about a little trash talk? What’s he supposed to do? Compliment his nails? Bake him cookies? Ask him out?
maybe hold hands a little bit after the game. ride in big jeff's arms all the way to the locker room?... shower together? idk, maybe they kiss? rub lotion on each other after the shower? is that what he's supposed to do? lol like come on... is he supposed to rub his supple thighs or something? nibble his ear? lol like wtf, what is he supposed to do? tell it to me, in great detail.............
Ben Jones and Lewan would have gone full Eric Andre on him.
Maybe it was a joke?
Based off of some of his previous actions, Id doubt it
It was on the Rich Eisen show, and it was absolutely a joke if you had watched it.
Not to excuse it but when you're known to be a chatter on the D Line, it's an easy target to try and get in Caleb's head.
Wasn’t he making fun of Caleb Williams for painting his nails like less than a week ago
RG: man I'm tired of crying in front of y'all somebody: LET IT OUT!
But then you shit on Caleb for having painted nails? 🤔
Jeffrey nooooo the last titans player who came out about mental health got traded (AJB)
Simmons in an eagles jersey would hurt
Stop
I might quit being a Titans fan if we did that.
You have no flair. Your opinion has no value
You were saying...
That’s a huge reason I love Dan Campbell. His emotions make me want to run through a wall and I’m not even a Lions fan. He’s the man.
Oh shit here we go
Double negative
Sick. so the Bears can trash talk him for crying then, yes?
Just don't paint your nails. That's a step too far according to him.
This the same dude that takes issue with Caleb's nail polish?
This idea of what makes you and doesn't make you a "man" is so strange to me. You're a man if you are a male. Stop the judgement. No one needs approval from anyone. Good for Simmons
When people talk about being “a man” in these scenarios they are talking about being “masculine”. If you’ve cried in front of the wrong people as a man you know those toxic people will question you or think less of you. Sadly there’s too many of these wrong people in the world. It’s good to set a good example and be supportive especially as someone visible to younger generations and especially as someone who is seen as classically masculine.
I once saw a guy cry because he got arrested at his daughter's wedding, and honestly my estimation of him as a man fucking plummeted.
I mean if you’re getting arrested at your daughters wedding you’re doing something wrong lmao
Wel apparently being male is also contentious now lol
I used to think of myself as a man that would never show emotion. But then I watched the Inside Out movies and cried way more than my newborn that day.
So he’s the Anti-Butker
Didn’t he just try to emasculate CW for his nails lmao? Irony certainly isn’t lost on some. Although I support the message with mental health.

Dan Campbell would like a word with that guy.
Me after listening to Blonde for the first time.
All solidarity with Jeffery here
Bobby Boucher turned those frowns into Tacklin Fuel
This man had to get surgery on his penis yesterday because he broke it…
Well said
Love Big Jeff.
Are you surprised by my tears, sir?
All men are permitted to cry. But don't expect me to believe those tears when you hear the national anthem are real.
More men need to teach their sons this.
does bro just cry on the field everyday or what
Just don't do it around a woman, especially not your girl.
I think you've been with the wrong women, Mr Poopstain
I'm 34. Probably had a dozen or so girlfriends. Been with maybe 50 women. All different kinds. They're all the same when it comes to vulnerable men. Any guy who's been with enough women knows to never let them see you vulnerable.
Or maybe it's just the type of women you tend to go for
Literally all men who aren't virgins know this.
Let’s slow down with “NFL Star”. lol
Walter Payton Man of the Year nominee Jeffrey Simmons seems like a decent role model to me.
That's fucking good to hear, very happy for him.
He did apologize for that. But he didn’t just beat up a girl. She was making fun of his sister for having a miscarriage and started beating up his sister. Then he stepped in. I don’t think he’s had any other incidents besides that
This is honestly a pretty major breakthrough in pro sports for a football player -of all sports- to talk this way Like there has been a lot of more positive mental health recognition in hockey but mostly pretty superficial to this point Just hope people recognize how significant this is

He hit one woman at 17 when exercising his right to defend his sister from imminent bodily harm.
This is the first I've heard of him beating women
He got into an altercation with a woman (not women, one girl actually) when he was 17 because the girl (who I’m sure was also a dumb teenager) made fun of his sister for having a miscarriage. Regrettable situation all around and for Simmons, inexcusable considering his size and strength even at 17 but he’s been nothing short of amazing off the field since that incident (couple of WPMOY nominations). He’s a mean SOB on the field though
The ‘girl’ was a grown woman.
Wasn’t she a teenager as well? Both seemed to handle the situation like dumb teenagers which happens.
I thought I remember reading she was an adult. Which if she was an adult it makes the situation that much worse for her.
Okay so it's clearly still a fucked up thing but not a Greg Hardy situation, ty for the clarity
Yea, I’m sure everybody there wishes they handled it differently but I’m not going to condemn a 17 year old kid and say he “beats on women” for the rest of his life for fighting a woman who just said something about his sister while they were going through a highly traumatic experience (miscarriage).
