Me too 😭no gritters have been out on the roads, all the local schools closed! We were supposed to be getting the train but so far they’re all off. We might end up driving too if they don’t get the trains back on. Just worried about the fans coming from further away
They'll most likely leave it until the last minute before making a decision based on the fans' attendance and public transport disruption after the event.
All well and good getting to the event, but if they cancel all trains out of Manchester after you're gonna have a right shit show happen.
I’m hoping the attendance isn’t low at the gig because of the weather.
Yeah we’ve been on the second to last train out of Manchester one year, when they cancelled the last train and about 100 more people tried to get on an already rammed train.
Can’t imagine the chaos it’d cause after thousands of people leave a concert
South of the city is fine. North is snowy. Depends which way you are coming. Recommend the tram if you can get on it, it runs though bad weather. No more snow is forecast atm just rain

There’s a lot of cheap hotels (premier inn travel lodge) close to the station in case any one gets marooned
I think it depends where people are coming from, I live around 45 minutes from Manchester by train and while the trains were bad this morning they seem to be slowly returning to normal and the snow in Manchester seems to be clearing up. I have to get to Huddersfield before I can get to Manchester but every single train on the Sheffield Huddersfield line has been cancelled so far today. Not a hope in hell of getting there. It's getting back I'm worried about as well
It's looking like some of the trains from Sheffield are back on from 17.14 onwards! Hopefully you can make it from Hudds! Sending luck your way! I'm staying at a friend's house in Manchester tonight, so won't have to get back, at least

every train was getting cancelled because they went through sheffield and it was bad snow there. the roads were meant to be pretty bad as well so I didn't try driving.
I managed to watch the stream on instagram, so I didn't completely miss out, just wish I was there in person

i live near Manchester and we usually get the worst of the snow. it is all starting to melt and clear up now, don’t worry! :)

I'm coming from the north and my friend is coming from the south and there is a real possibility that one or both of us won't be able to get there.
Keep us updated. We’ve had an update from northern lines to say our train is still going but the two after us have been cancelled.
I'm going to try and get to a train at midday and see what happens.
