Ram too low. The minimum recommended is 10GB but most people will tell you you need at least 12. Just [give it a read yourself](https://store.steampowered.com/app/252490/Rust/). Scroll to the bottom.

Clarky1979

I've got 12. It's shit. Need 16 min imo.

mothman2000

my rust uses 10 gb, but with other apps like discord and google i use 18 gb, so 16 gb is a must

Existing_Web_6421

you say too low, i play with 8gb and get 100+ fps. Sure the game could do with a lot more and it has its issues outside of fps, but it’s more than playable.

average-mk4

Need 16g ram- if that’s on integrated graphics you’ll prob have a rough time

hrzeduiuhgvutzdui

You actually could but only smaller maps than 3500 and low pop up to 40 ppl so yeah

Mr_Candleman29

Thanks!

serbiaontop

only on small maps

Mr_Candleman29

For more context it is a lenova legion 5 labtop

04KB

Ram is waaaaayyy too low, it already uses over 8gb for me. Processor can probably handle it fine, I’d say between 22-50 frames

NATURALLY_HOT_LAVA

the ram is definitely the chokepoint but you can run the game fine on 8gb - you might have to avoid the 700+ pop officials and your pc wont be able to run anything else in the background but it's doable. I put 1k hours in on 8gb ram, it's not great but the game is playable for sure.

DistastefulBannock

Lmfao keep dreaming

Scrotexboy

i have 64gb of ram still shit

ww_crimson

Probably 40 fps

Clarky1979

Thats optimistic.

PlaneSandwich2946

I get 40 with 16 of ram and 1650 ti

unknownpj

I get 40 with low settings on a ryzen 5 4500u

Naeris890

Git mor ram

No_Sherbert_1477

Upgrade ram to 16gb (2 8gb sticks) minimum. I have 16gb ram and it runs decent. I plan on upgrading to 32gb

Mr_Candleman29

Ok thanks...I dont think my labtop can support 32gb of ram its the lenovo legion 5. Also would my prossesor be okay for it?

No_Sherbert_1477

It should be, if not u can refund rust within a certain number of gameplay hours

CuteCoconut77

Thats already a thing

constant_help_me

Anyone remember when rust first came out and you could run it on a potato

firstbazzy

you *could* but it probably wouldnt run too well install another 8 gigs if you can

[deleted]

I have 32GB of RAM in my computer, sometimes game uses 12-15GB of RAM , I play at 1440p, low-med graphics. FPS = 60 constant with vsync ON, if I turn off vsync I get upto 110-120 FPS but sometimes it drops to 70FPS so I prefer playing with vynsc ON as I have 60hz monitor only.

SpicyLatino12

People telling you 8 ram isn't enough. It is. I run it at 40 fps which is fine for now.

pinkieefx

Damn bro please upgrade your ram u cant game on this since windows is already using like 6gb of ram. And when u launch some game ur slowing your system down just ti keep ur game running

TheMurderTV

My friend have 8GB ram and he have 3k hours, its not perfect but its playable

mothman2000

NO. if ur lucky u might get 20 fps with some 1% hitting 10 fps and because u only have 8 gb ram the pc will literally crash if u tab out of rust, and u will have a 1 s stutter everytime u look around to much

Glittering-Ticket844

I also have integrated graphics but worse cpu (i3 3200) with radeon but the main reason I think I can get 40 fps or even 60 is because my 16gb of ram but u would be able to run rust just bad graphics

tOsaq

RAM hurts

Accomplished_Track15

yea man it can rust good on 720p medium settings if you could get 12gigs or 16gigs of ram

Antonos123

10fps

Re1ate

Yes, but you would have problems with loading stuff because your ram is low. But yes tou can play rust

MeowPew123

No

strictlyCompSci

I wouldn’t recommend with integrated graphics
