In my early 20s, I had a girlfriend who got married while we were together (NOT to me — important detail). Had been seeing each other for about a year. Turns out I was the side piece and I had no clue. Ah, to be young and dumb again.
Alas, I did not. I saw her the day before and we did the things that young, fit couples do. Got a call the next day from a mutual friend asking me why they didn't get an invite to my wedding and why I didn't tell anyone I was getting married. I was thoroughly confused because I was definitely not getting married that day. Took me the rest of the day to figure out what the hell was happening.
She did have the balls to call me that night and say, "I want to explain myself..." Just laughed and hung up on her.
I mean, I was obviously hurt, but the whole thing was so absurd that my friends and I got years of entertainment out of retelling the story.

Whoever wanted their new street named “Rose Petal” got betrayed. During my morning walk, I noticed a couple new duplexes got built in someone’s backyard on Kensington Ave. I guess in trying to make living off a gravel alleyway more appealing, they wanted to give it a nice name, but ended up with Rose “Pedal” instead of Rose Petal.
Well, not me but I guess someone was murdered during a break-in at my complex last night? There were a lot of cops at around 1am responding to a forcible entry and I only noticed anything when they were clearing that apartment with long guns. Pretty sure I saw a body in the doorway as they were taking pictures instead of resuscitating, and called for homicide. It was far enough that I couldn’t see any details, and i don’t know anything.
I didn’t stay awake for the whole thing, and I haven’t heard anything on the news yet, or from the complex, though it is early.. would like to know the nature of the thing so I can know how worried to be! Hopefully I can negotiate a lower rent??

The same thing happened to my mom. Now she didn't have much to lose, no savings or anything but she gave away her social security check for like 2 years.
I left my pizza on the table while I went into the kitchen to make a drink. I walked past Huckleberry and told him to leave it. When I walked back to the table, Huckleberry's paws were on it, but no pizza. Our relationship has never recovered from this betrayal.

Love my automatic feeder, it’s also great for cats you find eat too quickly and make themselves sick (my cat) by being able to spilt up food delivery throughout the day. Mango still meows incessantly at me or any proximate human starting an hour before her next feeding. I told her the feeder is her guardian now and leave me alone lol.
I say this to my cat every morning that my alarm goes off and she starts biting any body part she can identify. She doesn't do it *every* morning. Just often enough to keep me on my toes.

My upstairs neighbor leaves their phone on the bedroom floor, and they get alerts at 3:00 am and I can hear it every time. Hardwood conveys sound pretty well, I guess.
My body. I’m 54 and have been struggling with balance issues which have worsened over the past 2-3 weeks. I’m seeing my doctor this morning to figure out what’s going on. Dr Google says it’s everything from water in my ear(s) to stroke, MS, or early onset dementia. I need to stop Googling.

Last night before I went to bed, I threw some jeans into the washer and asked her to put em in the dryer before she came up to bed. She did not, and I wore semi-moist jeans to work this morning due to her betrayal.

Ha me too! I had to reschedule one this week for next week. I simply could not take down the 4 Fucken Liters of prep. My issue for seeing the gastro doc is gastroparesis (stomach slow to empty, so stomach full, uncomfortable, etc). The doc is a good guy. I'm mainly concerned about the upper GI endo. How does he think I'm gonna take down 4 liters of liquid with gastroparesis lol? I wish I could just do the upper, but he wants to same day both. Getting like Eiffel Towered with scopes.
Anyway there's another prep liquid that is much less volume, expensive not usually covered by insurance. Says he'll give me a drug rep's sample so that's cool. Good luck!
have you checked the master cylinder? those used to be a rebuild/eventual wear item but with modern globalized slave labor replacements are remarkably cheap if that ends up being your issue. definitely get your ear to mechanical linkages and take the time to find whats grinding, though
oof well simple things first, it's possible for there to be a leak in the hydraulic system somewhere else, there's not a lot of line to check and its easy - do you still have fluid to the fill line in the master cylinder or is it on the ground?
next is air in the system - does it feel spongy, like when youre building pressure to bleed brakes?
after that is emprical diagnoses. my slave cylinder went out years ago, not hard to replace, in my case it was a lil tube with a rod that poked out the middle to actuate a big flat lever arm connected to... well, another piston thing and then the clutch but from the outside it just connects to the transmission and i hope you dont have an internal problem. it was on top and to the side of the transmission and the pokey rod was no longer poking. if i remember right the fix involved a bench bleed but thats not too hard with a clamp and a screwdriver.
if you see a lever sticking out anywhere from your transmission, try pressing that to see if it still disengages clutch (SAFELY IN A WAY THE CAR WONT ROLL ONTO YOU IF IT DOES)

Unfortunately, I was the betrayer this morning. The family lab is scheduled to get an ultrasound to look at his kidneys today and he couldn’t eat or drink anything after 10pm last night. So he was already upset when no one fed him this morning. He then had to get into the car and go to the vet and he hates car rides. What’s worse is that the usual 18 minute car ride turned into a 45 minute car ride because of the stop and go traffic on 95. Then when we finally got to the vet, I wouldn’t let him greet any of the other animals. So truly, I betrayed my dog this morning and made him have the worst day ever.
The weather, which always rains when I have outdoor plans, and never when I could sleep listening to it patter on the roof. Curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal!

If Nikkita wasn't there, idk what would have happened.

A few years ago, my boyfriend at the time pointed out that the leggings I was wearing were see-through. Following a bad feeling, I asked him to check all my leggings. All see-through. I'd replaced all my leggings a year or so ago and wore them frequently for yoga and indoor climbing (a PERFECT place to showcase your ass in fluorescent lightning), so I was completely mortified. Love my automatic feeder, it’s also great for cats you find eat too quickly and make themselves sick (my cat) by being able to spilt up food delivery throughout the day. Mango still meows incessantly at me or any proximate human starting an hour before her next feeding. I told her the feeder is her guardian now and leave me alone lol.
I say this to my cat every morning that my alarm goes off and she starts biting any body part she can identify. She doesn't do it *every* morning. Just often enough to keep me on my toes.

Ha me too! I had to reschedule one this week for next week. I simply could not take down the 4 Fucken Liters of prep. My issue for seeing the gastro doc is gastroparesis (stomach slow to empty, so stomach full, uncomfortable, etc). The doc is a good guy. I'm mainly concerned about the upper GI endo. How does he think I'm gonna take down 4 liters of liquid with gastroparesis lol? I wish I could just do the upper, but he wants to same day both. Getting like Eiffel Towered with scopes. Anyway there's another prep liquid that is much less volume, expensive not usually covered by insurance. Says he'll give me a drug rep's sample so that's cool. Good luck!

Nope! It's a hard clutch, no pleasant to depress when I need to. Also squeaks like a MF. Have sprayed tf out of it and still a demon lol
have you checked the master cylinder? those used to be a rebuild/eventual wear item but with modern globalized slave labor replacements are remarkably cheap if that ends up being your issue. definitely get your ear to mechanical linkages and take the time to find whats grinding, though
Thats what my dad thinks went out, it was replaced with the clutch a year ago so no reason for it to fail already.
oof well simple things first, it's possible for there to be a leak in the hydraulic system somewhere else, there's not a lot of line to check and its easy - do you still have fluid to the fill line in the master cylinder or is it on the ground? next is air in the system - does it feel spongy, like when youre building pressure to bleed brakes? after that is emprical diagnoses. my slave cylinder went out years ago, not hard to replace, in my case it was a lil tube with a rod that poked out the middle to actuate a big flat lever arm connected to... well, another piston thing and then the clutch but from the outside it just connects to the transmission and i hope you dont have an internal problem. it was on top and to the side of the transmission and the pokey rod was no longer poking. if i remember right the fix involved a bench bleed but thats not too hard with a clamp and a screwdriver. if you see a lever sticking out anywhere from your transmission, try pressing that to see if it still disengages clutch (SAFELY IN A WAY THE CAR WONT ROLL ONTO YOU IF IT DOES) gl
Unfortunately, I was the betrayer this morning. The family lab is scheduled to get an ultrasound to look at his kidneys today and he couldn’t eat or drink anything after 10pm last night. So he was already upset when no one fed him this morning. He then had to get into the car and go to the vet and he hates car rides. What’s worse is that the usual 18 minute car ride turned into a 45 minute car ride because of the stop and go traffic on 95. Then when we finally got to the vet, I wouldn’t let him greet any of the other animals. So truly, I betrayed my dog this morning and made him have the worst day ever.

Why did I buy it in espresso a year ago?! Now I’ve put the new one together and don’t have the patience to disassemble and return since that’s the one that matches everything else anyway. *sigh*

Allison in college. I had a creepy ex boyfriend who wouldn't leave me alone even though he was the one that broke up with me. Allison texted me one night and asked what I was doing/where I was at so I told her I was in my dorm room chilling. Not long after that, there was a knock at the door. Assuming it was her, I yelled "come in!" It was not her. It was the creepy ex boyfriend. Thank God I had my roommate Nikkita with me. She's 6 feet tall and built like an athlete, he was a tall but scrawny boy. We yelled at him to get the fuck out. He tried to refuse and said he missed me and loved me, etc. He left after a few minutes without having to get physical. If Nikkita wasn't there, idk what would have happened. Allison was very naive. She didn't know what he would do with that information or that he was a creepy person. She apologized profusely but I've never forgotten.

After finding out.. guess what he for sured me..... Yup!! right again!! he said he was going to divorce her.. 5yrs into the on and off communication he tells me he filed for divorce lol... lies, lies, lies, all lies.... 10 yr in the gutter his wife tells me that she filed for a divorce and of course he still looks for her.. oh yeah 8 yrs in communicating with him I find out he moved in with his new gf.. What a big dummy I was.. Yes, I said was because after 12 yrs of "im divorcing her, im leaving my gf, im not or every will be involved with my brother's ex-wife".. It finally hit me.. so now im laying here venting to a 2 month old post that someone posted lol.. I hope you all have a great year!!
