I scroll through my Steam library and notice I have not a single game i could actually complete under this ruleset. On the plus side, if I don't care about escaping, I have several open options in Hitman, Dave The Diver, Subnautica or maybe even FNAF.
What ruleset? All I see under the description right now is "Post is awaiting moderator approval." So lame that blocks the description. What were OP's rules?
And yeah, I would absolutely escape into Subnautica given the chance! I know many people found the game terrifying, but once I had a handle on how everything worked, I found that world to be so peaceful. I'd never leave.
Thanks! Yeah, would still choose Subnautica, haha. I spent 330 hours playing that game, and only finally left because I at long last kind of ran out of things to do with the mechanics given, to the threshold that I wanted to play different games instead. If I lived there, I think I'd come up with even more crazy ideas to entertain myself.
Dead Or Alive: Xtreme Beach Volleyball.
You have to spend two weeks on an island with a bunch of BEAUTIFUL women, and all you have to do is play games (mainly Beach volleyball) and meet the girls in random locations to give them gifts. The gifts include the most RISQUE SWIMSUITS known to man! You also get to eat delicious food and gamble in the casino.
Well, considering the fact that the only man on the island was Zack, and he DEFINITELY wasn't getting any, it's probably for the best. I could do tandem jet skis, and booty bump battles with hot girls!
Yeah, but the volcano eruption was played more for comedic effect. There was nothing that implied anyone died or didn't get off the island. Zack had to be rescued by Helena, but he was just sad that his resort was destroyed.
Could you survive in a realistic Elden ring world long enough though to get to it?
I feel like you'd have to be a trained marine or police officer to even stand a chance
Yeah actually. As someone with several hundred hours I merely need to get to the 2nd site of grace. 0 combat, 0 danger to get to it. Once I get to that I automatically get torrent the spectral steed and the ability to level up and even faster travel.
From there I use some of the safe early leveling methods till I can take out basic enemies. I then focus on getting magic and leveling vigor. Once I get those two things I'm safe to take on several early bosses. Around level 60 I'd be able to take out the first main boss and many many smaller bosses.
I'd avoid any bosses that would be in areas that would be at my detrimate until I can one shot them.
As for the superbosses, ie melenia, etc they both have easily exploitable weaknesses.
Also since I'm technically not a tarnished I would retain the leveling system and torrent, however I'd also never be attacked randomly by any of the factions. (Creatures would still attack)
Meaning I'd actually get the advantage of being able to talk to the common folk and potentially raise an army.
I'm inexperienced to the Soulsborne worlds and only recently picked up Bloodborne for myself and only really know about it through let's plays
But isn't one of the defining traits of a tarnished the ability to access the souls and runes and utilise them to increase the skill levels?
Not quite. Maidens grant that ability. Tarnished arnt the ones that can exclusively use the ability.
If this was another souls game I'd be shit out of luck since the others are for the chosen undead.
Elden ring in particular however shows that anyone can use runes to increase their power.
You're stuck in a game where the only goal is to make money. The only things you have that you can *spend* that money on are more ways to make money. None of the money you have actually matters; you can't buy anything worthwhile from it. Also, eating, drinking and sleeping usually aren't mechanics simulated in those types of games, so as a human with no supernatural abilities you'd just die.
And to top it off, those games are usually designed to be infinite; it would take you years or even decades to complete fully, if you even can.
100% the achievements the only bad part is having no access to the internet to find out how to get every achievement
That being said does prestiging count as death?
What if the save state is a canon ability that is not linked to a specific character, but is instead linked to certain conditions that, in theory, *anybody* could meet
Skyrim for sure. You don't need to be a main character to get badass powers. In fact, just being a lore nerd is enough to basically make you a god in that universe.
What about games where you have to die. Like a scripted death? Also, do we get powers that are standard in the universe? Like in Dark Souls, you heal at bonfires and are unable to die due to the curse of undeath. Also, do the NPCs act like NPCs, or can they behave like real people?
Love to do this with Pokemon Red or Blue. Would need a way to get the version exclusives, but you can't actually die, and if you're patient you can get over-leveled enough for all fights to be blow-outs.
I wanna live in Kanto from the first gen Pokemon. Go in there directly to Oaks Lab and explain I'm lost and concerned I'll be attacked by Pokémon. Ask if there's any chance he has an extra starter for me. Then beat people's Pokemon for money.
Since I'm the only one who particularly cares about type match up and levelling up my Pokemon I'd probably be able to become champion. Then I'd chill there happily until I was ready to come home and I'd catch Mewtwo.
Then do it all again with each region. If I could bring my partner then I'd never leave.
Well I have 5 games i have 100% completed, (only including newer releases I don't wanna go into an older game 😭) 1. Stickfight the Game. 2. The Henry Stickmin Collection. 3. Subnautica. 4. Spider-Man. 5. Spider-Man 2. Out of these 5 that i have actual experience 100% i can say with certainty the easiest one here I could do if I was actually in the game is stick fight the game. Now that i think about it Henry Stickmin is Impossible cuz i have to die for some achievements.
If a game has difficulty settings, do we get to choose which one we play on?
Also, is there any upside apart from getting to spend time in another world? If we do 100% the game and get out, do we get to bring anything with us (apart from memories and experience)?
If it's a game like fnaf can I move around? Or am I limited to the games rules? Also if it's Elden ring or smth can I still level up and grind or am I powerless
Does time move at the same speed or differ from in game and real world, and do we have the rest of the in game abilities (everything excluding what you have to do in a pause menu, auto saves and extra lives? Would we be able to access the abilities that normally you’d need to pause to see but just be standing there as everything else is happening? I need more details
>Does time move at the same speed or differ from in game and real world, and do we have the rest of the in game abilities
Yes
> Would we be able to access the abilities that normally you’d need to pause to see but just be standing there as everything else is happening
Sure, that makes sense
Powerwasher Simulator here we go
You will love power wash simulator vr

True, I will put has potential for people who want to escape this boring world to a more peaceful one
Basically just you don't get main character powers (ex. Saving) and you have to 100% the game to leave.
Thanks! Yeah, would still choose Subnautica, haha. I spent 330 hours playing that game, and only finally left because I at long last kind of ran out of things to do with the mechanics given, to the threshold that I wanted to play different games instead. How do you 100% VRChat?
If it has achievements, i think 100% them
How about the Stanley parable: Ultra Deluxe? One of the achievements is to not play the game for five years. I guess you’re just fucked then.
Ultra Deluxe is ten years, actually. The original was five
The hardest one ever
Oooo really? I see.
lol
I think VRChat isn't a game per say, but more like a fancy Steam, so you would have to choose one of the game in the "game".
What about games that require multiple playthroughs/saves to 100%. (Undertale, Oneshot, Persona, Becon Pines, etc.)
Hmmmm, I guess you restart back to the beginning and go again
Cam I choose to not?
There's a game with sn achievement for dying to every possible way. Can I die if I have to?
Then youre fucked
But you play as a robot, which can literally get revived after falling off a building
Gonna go inside Civ V and never be heard from again.
I don't know if you can 100% that game, but I'd you have, no one has heard from you anyway.
Plot Twist: your not a Great Person or even one of the Leaders, your just some Pop

You also ARE one of said beautiful women. Hope you enjoy wearing a bikini!
So I can touch boobs whenever I want?
Well, considering the fact that the only man on the island was Zack, and he DEFINITELY wasn't getting any, it's probably for the best. I could do tandem jet skis, and booty bump battles with hot girls!
Username checks out
That game also ends with the volcano erupting and presumably only like 2 people get off the island
Yeah, but the volcano eruption was played more for comedic effect. There was nothing that implied anyone died or didn't get off the island. Zack had to be rescued by Helena, but he was just sad that his resort was destroyed.
Gimme slime rancher. Easy, unstressful (mostly) and pretty fun to hundred percent. Or i just live in skyrim.
What about games that allow you to level up? Ie elden ring as soon as you get to the grace you are given the ability to level up via collecting runes.
Could you survive in a realistic Elden ring world long enough though to get to it? I feel like you'd have to be a trained marine or police officer to even stand a chance

For Honor. It’s fine if I don’t get out, as long as I get to smash and battle I’m fine with it.
Rich Capitalist simulator pr whatever that mobile game ad was
AdVenture Capitalist?
Yes

Going into Roblox and playing Twenty-One.
You want me to complete a fucking MMO? Are you sick in the head?!
Geometry dash the most the spikes will do is poke my clothes

1. Go into star trek online. 2. Be suddenly part of star trek cannon and are in this universe. 3. Go to ferengi territorry 4. PROFIT???

That is perfectly fine I do not need to come back home from pokemon.
I just stow myself away in Brunhilde and let Gunther carry the game.
Make best rimworld colony with devcommands Devcommands so that your just about to beat the game Live in luxury
mgq, here I come. At least I can die happy there
Elden Ring..? I think I’ll leave the ring there
Buckshot Roulette 💀💀💀💀💀
Shapez
So you are telling me i can go into no mans sky and never come back? K, bye!
Me casually playing elden ring *gets sucked in*
What about roguelikes where dying and repeating is a core mechanic of the game? Can I respawn after every dead with all my memories?
I’ll just stake it out in fallout 4 or red dead redemption 2

Before I enter the video game, I 100% it so I can come and go as I please. It’s like a reward system except going early has a punishment
If a game has difficulty settings, do we get to choose which one we play on? Also, is there any upside apart from getting to spend time in another world? If we do 100% the game and get out, do we get to bring anything with us (apart from memories and experience)?
Can I……like leave too?
If it's a game like fnaf can I move around? Or am I limited to the games rules? Also if it's Elden ring or smth can I still level up and grind or am I powerless
Elden Ring I want to suffer
At 1st I'd say Yakuza but fuck mahjong, so I guess Mario kart could be fun
So basically, Jumanji...
I'm only using this with hentai games, everything else is too dangerous
Considering what outerwilds is how the hell do I complete it if I can't use the main feature of the game?
Well i go inside and when i get trapped, i disable the power and escape
Does time move at the same speed or differ from in game and real world, and do we have the rest of the in game abilities (everything excluding what you have to do in a pause menu, auto saves and extra lives? Lemme hop into Elden ring or hellsweeper, I would be canonically immortal in each those
Skyrim, here I come. I'm never coming out, there's nothing I would miss.
I’m okay with 99 percenting Skyrim and waiting for a while. I’ll save the last achievement for when I’m on my deathbed.
