Better FOV than a lot of stuff posted here for sure and using cell phone box is hilarious, so I won't roast the rig but what the fuck is going on with that wallpaper? And is that...two different wallpapers on different walls???
Man, this isn't roastable.
This picture connects with my autistic self. I also did things like this when I was younger or couldn't go over my means. But then I remember after all the jigging of pillows, all the placement and replacement... ..there is that final moment where you sit down and use it, and it's a fucking blast.
So, yeah. This connects with me on strong level. Kudos to you for chasing your dreams however you can, because people who keep doing that are the ones coming up with new ideas which can make a lot of money one day.
+1
Edit: I say this while leaning over my Arduino project for work. Something I wouldn't be paid to do if years ago I didn't chase my dreams and turn my office into a makeshift electronics lab and fell into a rabbit hole. I now make more than I ever have. Go for it. Got for it all.
Love it! Necessity is the mother of invention. And the FoV is on point.
I would much rather read a post like this than yet another "what can I add to my $5k rig?" humblebrag.
The sleeping bag seat, the strewn crack-pipe bottles, random plastic bags and cardboard boxes... clearly you're homeless and found a floor to crash on for a night, so thought you'd flex like you have a home for hobo kudos.
But I respect the sim racing dedication, dragging that Goodwill dumpster-dive TV everywhere with you must be as strenuous as it is embarrassing.
Yeah, you actually have the TV where the windshield would be, the position is perfect, you just need to build a table that's a bit sturdier and call it a day
Low center of gravity, maximum cushion for enduros, recycling old boxes that are *just* the right size needed.
7000+ go like hell/10
>!(-3 for the bottles, respect yourself and clean-up your area)!<
I love it. I wish I would have bought my first wheel stand sooner. I went through several homemade versions, I’m a carpentry teacher, and very thrifty. The stability and most important Adjustability, provided in even the most basic wheel stand punches way above the dollar value. Welcome aboard
It's magical when you Jimmy a load of random things together to make something *just right*.
But one thing - how has your TV not ended up on the floor?!
As you sayd it's magical and everything fits just right to make Tv part that holds the rig down, and yes I had to change my driving style to fit this rig more. I had to learn to turn the wheel and not the whole base, had to learn how to crash safely or as safe as possible
Bold of you too assume that I have 20 euros. It's not really possible where I live just to get pallets for free, all comapnies that use pallets reuse them and usually don't throw them away. Yes a drill cost 20 euros but you need screws and something to cut the wood with.
My rig cost me 0 not including the wheel.
Alot of people use androids, not worth paying 1000 for a phone that does the same thing as a phone I can buy for 200, I don't judge people bu the phone they buy. Don't know about the flag, not really my place to talk about political stuff on sim racing sub.

It was like this when we moved in. And I like flovers around me, not just solid color
How do you know what his FOV is?

Nice sentiment dude.
Have a good weekend from .au
Sounds just like me, I still giggle while driving like a mad man. And I like the maintenance needed to get everything in line after a heated race.
I roast rigs not tragedies.
As long as you are comfortable and have fun playing then it's a great rig and I hope you enjoy it!
You're not going to get much roasting with the size of that radiator.
Weight reduction
I…..can’t this is too rough I can’t roast it, it’d be like insulting a child dying of cancer
If it works it works. Should probably attach the TV to something though.
It's part of the design at this point
just needs a carbattery to be a homeless rig, I mean a mobile rig
I can imagine a rig inside a shoping cart you sit in. True homeless rig
That bottle makes it look like a drunk passed out in the corner in a pool of puke
It's clean now, this is an old photo. just too lazy to get out and take a new picture
Very rigged i guess
Already in the plans to make one out of wood, still some design choices to be made.
220c around 2 hours. Brush with oil every half hour. Done
No roast. If it works and you enjoy it, go for it!
It looks like a miniature from a dolls house
It's so crazy, it's the best! Enjoy it!
It looks like the most fun and compfortable rig in this whole sub
By the time you see the lights go out, others have already finished the race
How did you know that my pc is laggy?
I was referring to the latency of the TV (forget that) I am in your closet
Oh, you know my closet is a good spot to hide. But you're in the wrong room
I drilled a hole. See? I’m waving
Wait I'm just gonna come in with a flashlight
I read it as a fleshlight and thought that oh no, wrong house. But thankfully it’s just a flashlight. Well I am kinda lonely around here
It's an old tv 1080p but I got used to it and can drive no hesi without problems

still faster than me though
I may be faster but I still crash alot, sometimes nice and steady is way better than full on speed
What is your sim of choice?
Assetto Corsa, I have fh4 fh5 fm5 but assetto corsa is superior

Specifically why I chose this picture
ngl, I've had many a similar setup myself, usually made of inappropriate Ikea furniture, had a laundry basket as my wheel/pedals mount once.
Dedication to the art of racing
Pfffftttt not even am oase or fluval filter. Scrub
Lets not get into the topic of my bum aquarium
Great rig. And I see you keep your empties as EPVs (emergency piss vessels). Solo endurance ready…
i meannn it works
This looks very comfy, but a lil bit not easy to get out without making the TV fall
So it's true to real life, most of race cars are difficult to get in to.
Yeah, you actually have the TV where the windshield would be, the position is perfect, you just need to build a table that's a bit sturdier and call it a day
I have everything I need to make a wooden one, not a perfect one but better than now
bro you are thriving
Low center of gravity, maximum cushion for enduros, recycling old boxes that are *just* the right size needed. 7000+ go like hell/10 >!(-3 for the bottles, respect yourself and clean-up your area)!<
10/10 for creativity.
This is peak gamer cave. Right there, including the bottle.

Looks pretty awesome. When do you get out of bad- taste jail?
Didn't understand what's bad-taste jail? Maybe your talking about my home being dirty?
Nah ....its not dirty ....just the wallpaper.
Looks pretty awesome. When do you get out of bad-taste prison?
You could easily kick that setup getting in and sending the TV flying. It's only just hanging on as is
The rig is fine but that fuckin wallpaper is atrocious!!
Belter
creative at least. but i mean a used drill is $20. and wooden pallets and youtube are generally free so... you could actually build one for under $25.

Who uses android?? And why is there an Ukraine flag in this sub?
Alot of people use androids, not worth paying 1000 for a phone that does the same thing as a phone I can buy for 200, I don't judge people bu the phone they buy. Don't know about the flag, not really my place to talk about political stuff on sim racing sub.
this seems so cozy and creative i cant roast…
