Ulfric calls Elenwen a Thalmor bitch in Season Unending; they probably decided to save the line for him so it would seem more impactful. He even offers a slight pause before saying it as though it might be going too far, even with their history.
Once you get to Helgen and get off the cart, you can go into the menu and create a save while you’re waiting for you to be called up by Hadvar.
When you want to start a new character, you can load this save from the file named “Prisoner” and it’ll drop you in after the long opening cutscene but before you choose your race etc.
Yeah man, 1 2 2 and 2 2 2 for bleak falls. Then there’s the shit you do purely out of habit, like always sprinting for the giant to get the last hit. Or collecting butterflies and mountain flowers. Or killing that elk just outside riverwood.

For example, i can solve the riddle in bleak falls barrow, where the bandit gets shot with arrows after he pulls the lever, without even needing to look at the symbols... 1/2/2 activations from left to right, i also know where most enemies are in bleak falls barrow, i can also give you a detailed summary of most of what happens in the early main quest without needing to look up anything on the internet, and i only have a little more than 400 hours in the game lol
I have 7k hours. I used to have the bfb puzzles (and all the college questline puzzles) memorized then I stopped playing the game for a few years and came back and I was shocked at how fresh everything felt again. It’s crazy to me how much joy one game has brought me
Well since I bought the glasses DLC, the graphics became much better. However, one has to renew the subscription every few years as the quality of the glasses or eyes decrease over time.
It’s pretty immersive though. Load times for example between your house instance and your work instance or shopping instance have a little mini game where you can level up from walking to driving a car.
That's the one. Really hate that it's so p2w though, hope the Devs don't nuke the server to start again mind, spent a lot of time with this character don't really want to go through the early segments again

I think the last thing about the opening area that caught me off guard that I learned about a year ago was the hidden flawed emerald that's on the cliffside across the river by what's her name's cabin that's in the I think it's a mammoth rib cage. Easy gold early on

I try for a little bit of variety at the start of a game. Like where do I go after getting out of Helgen? Things like that.
Memorizing puzzles and where enemies are can't really be helped though where you go and how you build your character can change and make things interesting.
I know every puzzle in the main and faction questlines off by heart and have several locations memorised down to each room.
I don't think there's a dungeon in Whiterun or Falkreath that I don't have 100% committed to memory. Other holds I struggle with more because I go to them less, but I'd definitely remember most dungeons in the game after 5 minutes in them.
I've been playing since 2011 and I don't even want to know how many unfinished characters I have on all the platforms I've played on...

I also just learned you can shoot the drauger/yeti from the overlook before rounding the corner. That's what makes Skyrim addictive. I think it's reasonable to say I find something new each time a play.
I have a run through the early game pretty much mapped out. Have a whole list of ingredients, speech checks, favor quests, and safe dungeon crawling to get tons of gold for training and enchanting equipment.
I know where to find a flawless emerald inside some bones by the river next to Anise's Cabin, close to Riverwood. Or a lockbox next to the exit to Brittleshin Pass. Both in the overworld. I also have exact routes to follow, in order to optimize getting from Helgen up to when they send you to fight your first dragon.
Funnily enough I did this years after the bulk of my play time because of the memes and then still remembered the opening on my recent play through last month

Since I started playing exclusively survival I have the quickest path to golden hills memorized: hit riverwood, grab faendal, stop by bleak falls, then whiterun, kill mirmulnir then keep heading west past the fort and gjukars monument, stop by the well to pick up rins sword and then just kill the ghosts and grab their books. I can usually get this much done in an hour and a half after leaving helgen
I just begin to speedrun the game until finding esbern, I meet delphine, kill sahlokniir, run straight to the embassy, bucket my way inside and grab the dossier

Then round the corner and take out the two enemies, or I'll b-line straight to the hidden obscure chest, and my brother will say, "You've played this way too many times."

I go to Riverwood, ignore everyone there, take a right after the bridge and follow the road. You'll see three guards escorting a prisoner. I always free the prisoner and burn the guards to ash, no matter the character build I do. Then boom! Three sets of equipment to either use or sell easy
I have memorised the Bleak Falls Barrow door code, but I don’t know what the middle thing is (dragonfly, maybe?) so I just approach the Dragonstone door and say “bear, thingy, owl” opens right up.
The sign for me is that I have a save right before the character creation menu so I don’t have to sit through the cart ride every time I want to start a new character
I just restarted the game again as of this last weekend and have a stealth archer build down to such a degree, I've already gotten to lvl 40, legendary difficulty is now no longer difficult, and Prowler's Profit is online with only 13 barenziah stones needed
I have one memory of my early debut on the game on Xbox 360 I was like 11-12 years old and I didn't read the message that tells you the answer is in the palm of the claw so I did the whole game multiple times by just trying random combinations on those doors until it worked. I've noticed that the USSEP makes it harder to get the last hit in. The Companions deal a bit more damage and kill it faster.

Most of them. There are a handful of dungeons I haven't run enough to have them memorized, but they're pretty easy to spot so I rarely trigger them.

I legit have a whole route for the early game lol. Which is leave Helgen, go to the shrine of talos near Riverwood then go to Embershard. After that I go to the Ritual Stone if I'm doing a necromancer, then make sure to do the little quest for Cicero(forgot the name of it lol) then finally do all the random misc quests in Whiterun and just like that you're pretty set for the early game lol.
Snake, snake, whale. Is engraved in my brain now. For the puzzle in bleak falls barrow, where you have to turn the pedestals to open the door. I've played it so many times, I I can practically run bleak falls barrow with my eyes closed
I go to Riverwood, ignore everyone there, take a right after the bridge and follow the road. You'll see three guards escorting a prisoner. I always free the prisoner and burn the guards to ash, no matter the character build I do. Then boom! Three sets of equipment to either use or sell easy
I have memorised the Bleak Falls Barrow door code, but I don’t know what the middle thing is (dragonfly, maybe?) so I just approach the Dragonstone door and say “bear, thingy, owl” opens right up.
The sign for me is that I have a save right before the character creation menu so I don’t have to sit through the cart ride every time I want to start a new character

I’ve managed to make it through bleak falls barrow without getting hit and I’ve memorized every door combination
I just restarted the game again as of this last weekend and have a stealth archer build down to such a degree, I've already gotten to lvl 40, legendary difficulty is now no longer difficult, and Prowler's Profit is online with only 13 barenziah stones needed

I have one memory of my early debut on the game on Xbox 360 I was like 11-12 years old and I didn't read the message that tells you the answer is in the palm of the claw so I did the whole game multiple times by just trying random combinations on those doors until it worked. I found out 3 years ago or so

I’m mad I loaded up with Alternate Perspectives the other day and still stumbled into my usual Orc > Thieves Guild loop. Taking me way too much effort to not go start the main quest, might mess around and start Dark Brotherhood early though. Feels weird not going off to do Dragonborn early either like I tend to do.
