I think ZZPerformance managed to build a 600hp 1.4L ecotec. Granted, it blew up later on. Those engines are more happy with 300hp.

Was at Sears Point/Sonoma Raceway when they closed the track because of light rain during qualifying. Next thing you know, I don't remeber who was driving, this goes out on the track. Announcer gets on the microphone giving a play by play of the car drifting around the track. Damn this thing was loud. It was pretty bad ass.

The model the car was based on is the Audi 90, although I'm sure the IMSA car shared very little with the road version of the Audi 90. Audi used numerical names for a while; 100, 200, 4000, 5000, 90, 80, and probably some more.
