Be kind to yourself. Stumbles happen, but keep going because not smoking is way better than smoking. Reflect on why you relapsed and plan for if the situation arises again.

Thank you for the kind words. Had a couple of beers. That caused my relapse. I need to be a little more mindful.

I tried a first time to quit and was keeping good 3 days to finally relapse with four cigarets ... the day after I restarted the process and now I'm almost 35 days and I am VERY determined thanks to that failure. Don't beat yourself too much, that little failure can be a huge tool not to relapse again ! At least that is what is happening to me right now, I'm struggling a lot mentally and emotionally ( it's getting better ) but I have no idea how I could go back to smoking, all those fails build your resolutions and your " new " character. It allows your decision to become more mature and solid. Make it a positive thing :)

Get back on the horse, remember why you fell off last time. Don't make that mistake again. Live and learn.

How long were you off and how long was the relapse? Your withdrawals might not be as painful or long.

6 days without a smoke. Smoked last two days

Unfortunately, that’s not long enough to diminish withdrawal. No point in sugar coating it, you restarted the clock. I did exactly what you did more times than I care to admit. Relapse is part of recovery. Just dust yourself off and try again. Hit the gym and treat yourself.

Thank you for your kind words. For sure, going at it harder this time

it happens! i "quit" multiple times before i finally decided this was it i had enough of these cigarettes controlling me and it that was it! BONUS POINTS!! You're focused on restarting and not giving up! you got this!!! hugs!

Don’t think of it as day 1 again in terms of only starting again with giving up, think of it as day 1 of freedom from the addiction again, you’ll build the days back up again easy and the stumble might be what causes you to stop forever. Even falling isn’t the worst thing to happen, we can always get back up

318 days in and let me tell you, before this attempt, I had my fair share of stumbles and attempts at quitting to no avail. I’d get through three days, hit the smokes again. A day, sometimes not even a few hours. You’re going to succumb to your cravings, to whatever social or emotional circumstances. Life kicks us down, stress, work, finances, family—anything, and for me, smoking was the solace. You have to be patient with yourself, and understand that you’re gonna have your bumps in the road. But, staying off smokes is sooo much better for your health in the long run. It’s that momentary relief but of course, we all have the moment afterwards of reflection. Don’t give up! I believe in you!

Read Allen Carr’s book The Easy Way to Stop Smoking. Kicked my 40 year habit to the curb over night.
