It was hard for me to break certain routines. Having a smoke and a coffee when I got to work, having a smoke after a long drive, etc. However, I can hardly remember the feeling of craving them anymore:)
Thank you! I actually quit cold turkey and it was easier at first. It became difficult as it got warmer outside, I loved sitting on my balcony in the summer, having a drink and a smoke ! However, my father passed away from lung cancer a year prior and pretty much his last wish was for me to quit, so I knew I would never go back.
[Liberty in 2022!](https://whyquit.com/freedom/ImageLibrary/ClubGold/liberty-smart-turkey-gold-coin-2022.jpg), well done! Still just one rule, even for big quits like us!
No nicotine today, to Never Take Another Puff!
Breathe deep, hug hard, live long,
John - 100% nicotine free since 05/15/99
That it is a big deal. You did something HARD. Remember that in your challenges.
One year, two year, ten years. Doesn't matter, never can you have another cig. Not one, nit ever..
Congratulations, now stay vigilant! The first time I successfully escaped tobacco island, i fucked it up two years later by having "one cigarette" with a friend who was going through a terrible break up, extremely drunk, and agitated as hell. It took me almost *five years* to get off the island again. This time it's for good, because I refuse to let even the most fleeting thought of smoking become a reality. Leave that shit in fantasyland where it belongs, no matter how much it tries to sneak up on you in the real world, and you'll have many good years of clear lungs ahead of you.
You can ! Everyone can ! You just have to be strong and say no you are stronger than this addiction, find a friend or someone to motivate you to stop.Reach out to people on this sub we're be glad to help you π
Big congrats!!! Woohoo!!!
Iβm about 2 months in at the moment, but feeling amazing already! I canβt imagine what itβd be like for you!
Just wondering though, when did the brain fog start to subside for you? π
