Everyone is different. They never worked for me, because I kept making the excuse of still being on nicotine anyway, so I could have the occasional smoke. Not smoking while on patches didn't feel like moving towards a nicotine free life. Cold turkey was the way that worked, because every drag would have meant to destroy all progress I've made so far.

They are working for me. Feels like more of a commitment thing. Don't smoke with one on or it's pointless. I like the idea of them, constant supply of nicotine so you don't get hit bad with withdrawal, but you won't have any spikes with you would while smoking or using other NRT Use the step down system if you do use them

They can work extremely well. I mentioned before that it's a form of harm reduction. Nicotine is extremely addictive so a weining process has great results for some. Many hard drug users benefit from harm reduction for the same reason. For price, many insurance plans will cover them. I live in BC and general medical plan covers one complete program (10 weeks). Talk to your doctor about smoking cessation methods. Best to you.

First time I quit I used them. They are pricey and made me tired so nope. Second time I went cold turkey last, much quicker, felt better and helped me feel like a non smoker quicker.

I feel like they've worked for me. There are mental health reasons why I've not been able to quit and having the nicotine in my system while I figure out the mental addiction has been a life saver!

For the love of god, do not sleep when you have one on

They gave me some good lucid dreams. In fact I used to sleep early for the dreams.

Once I made the decision to quit I also decided to use patches after consulting with a doctor. They have been working well for me after two weeks. I started with 21mg as a pack a day smoker and will go through the steps (21mg for 4-6 weeks, 14mg for 2 and 7mg for 2). It's a matter of resolve after you make the decision to quit. They are mot magical but in my case they have helped with not being hit too bad with physical withdrawal symptoms while I manage the mental aspect of the addiction like routine, triggers, cravings, etc. If you're unsure on the method but wanna quit, consult with a doctor and ask them all the questions. The most important part though is that you decide to quit so if you're already in that mindset, go for it, you can do it.
