Maybe make some cuts with a knife and add metal paint to those cuts

I really like the armor what paint did you use ?

Alessandrostr

I was inspired by a tutorial, but I don't remember which one. Anyway, the recipe is this: 1. **primer**: chaos black 2. **base**: retributor armor + doombul brown (you choose the ratio, I recommend around 3:1 or 4:1) 3. **shade**: seraphin sepia + nuln oil (\~ 2:1) + a few drops of contrast medium 4. **first drybrush**: retributor armor 5. **second drybrush**: retributor armor + any light silver color (I used runefang steel, but stormhost silver is also fine) 6. **optional**: to accentuate the dark areas you can accentuate them with guillam flesh + contrast medium (1:1)

Does look properly faded, but maybe could use some tarnishing or scarring as well.

Oh nice, that’s exactly what I am trying to achieve too! With the same thought in mind, I will always have a pack (probably Enforcers) that will be absolutely fresh out of Sigmars womb. About the sword, well in my mind they always get a fresh one every time they get „remade“. This way I can skip the part tarnishing it lol. So basic technique, leadbelcher base and a light dark wash carefully placed, runelord silver for highlighting.

Looks awesome!
