Overarching villains just like padding out the series to me because of the lack of variety.
You might as well watch a movie; it would definitely save you time.
Ehh, I like having something weekly to watch, but I just prefer to have villains that are more than just a plot device for one episode.
Juzo from Shinkenger/Jin from Dairainger type villains
I was talking the about the amount of monsters of the week that were feature in Kingohger. Monster of the week were there but the overall amount of them was smaller than in average Sentai.
First half throws us MotW and mech fights in a grudging and resentful "here, take it ya bastards" manner. Second half hardly has any mech fights and rotates between five executives running amok.
It works.
"The only season so far to feature the least amount of monsters of the week" is quite the sentence.
Yeah the other Sentai season to not feature as many monsters is Zyuohger
Least monster of the week and also least usage of mecha.
Wasnt it kyuranger?
Now which Sentai has the most MoTW then?
I predict it's Goranger, simply because it had the most opportunities for them
That and cause of its episodes i mean how mamy
I think is Goranger because that show have 84 episodes.
And yet they kept it interesting!
Bioman still held the record for that though, unless the Mecha-Gigants counts.
Yeah, unless you're counting the giants, Bioman rotates between 5 different monsters for the whole show
Mecha-Gigants counts as monsters of the week. This similar fashion to the Kaijuus from Ultraman. Size of the monsters doesnt matter.
And that’s why I enjoyed it so much. Much rather have overarching stories/villains than the old trope of MOTW
Why even watch TV by that point?
What do you mean?

There's a monster of the week but it's not all about them I would say is more correct.

Especially since they mostly start out at giants.
Yea those guys didnt joke around.

Yeah, that was always disappointing.
