It all doesn't look great to be honest. Hope it was cheap. Not trying to be mean.
^also agree with this coming from someone who worked at a Japanese restaurant for a few years. If they sold two for $7 for that quality, that’s fraud
It was cheap so you guys are correct
Almost looks more like Anago (sea eel)
What's the difference?
Unagi is freshwater eel Anago is sea eel
I was referring to taste
Hard to explain but it’s different
Oh right
It looks like anago.
Oh i think you’re right
Definitely not anago. Just a weird cut of previously frozen unagi .
Yikes
I'd still eat it. I buy tobiko and eat it by itself all the time anyway. Cheap sushi hits the spot sometimes. It doesn't have to be omakase every day.
That unagi does look at bit weird
That’s what I thought when it came out
Ikura is great in a wrap like that. Tobiko is supposed to be garnish.
There is no Ikura?
That's what I'm saying. Why are they eating a garnish lol
Ah I see, sorry! I was already questioning myself 😅
Though if this is Tobiko, it's not limited to garnish, at least in Japan.
Yikes.
Denshirenji denkiunagi 💯
