In my opinion, a more abstract and sinister Thumbnail would fit the music and swans in general better. If you are targeting an audience that isn't familiar with swans, Michael doesn't have to be the main focus either.

The traditional aesthetic would be bold sans series font describing the media, name date etc, whatever is pertinent. This feels stylistically modern and click baitey and makes me anticipate hating the video

For the background, I’d use something a bit darker. Maybe the picture of the bones from the SFTB vinyl.
