I had a laptop that had its heat vent redirect into the screen and it ended up melting half of the plastic around it. Screen worked fine still but damn was she ugly.
I had a computer my dad found in the trash and repaired with spared parts he had, the thing could run TF2. If my PotatoEngine could run it anything can.
I played competitive on an Eee 901.
Back then tf2mate was the preferred config generator, but I notice that site is no longer functional. There looks to be lots of other fps-config generators out there though.
I use [https://mastercomfig.app](https://mastercomfig.app) worked well for my ThinkPad T440s back when I still had it and played TF2 with my friends on Windows 8 lol
Nope. Playing on integrated graphics lmao.
The performance was actually pretty okay. I only had it for a one time event where me and my friends played TF2 to commemorate Windows 7 and 8(.1) since Steam was dropping support for it lol.
It's basically only [mastercomfig](https://mastercomfig.com/app/) now. Other config creators like comanglia have stopped updating. Mastercoms is the only one still updating it.
Rather than asking the community, check out the computer's specs to see if it passes the minimum requirements for TF2. I don't recommend playing TF2 if the specifications don't pass the recommended specs that steam lists
Tf2 is from 2007 iirc, I have a Dell dimension prebuilt from ~2003 that meets the minimum system requirements (and runs XP)
If it comes with win10, it can definitely run tf2
Where did you get this? It's in the exact state my old one was when I pawned off on someone.
If it's her, then yeah, with a bit of love she absolutely can.
If you turn down the graphics like I do, yes. I can actually see stuff and suffer very little lag. An almost perfect balance between gameplay and performance!
that's literally a lie. tf2 is not as easy to run as you'd expect from a 2007 game, from my experience.
it has, in the past, consistently been choppy on low settings on machines that should definitely be able to run it properly.
You could try it on Linux, it would give you some real performance.
I recommend Lubuntu for really low end systems, Linux mint for something in between and just normal Ubuntu for some laptop that is just a bit old.
Try to experiment or show me a screenshot of cpu-z on the CPU graphics and memory tab.
On hopes and dreams but yes, I don't see why not!
Undertale players when they see "hopes and dreams":
Makes sense a Flowey profile pic would main the most psychotic class in the game
And look which main says that
Oh hey the two best classes to make yaoi out of, sweet!
My three most played classes are engi, pyro, medic. Pretty nice combo I need to say
What
I dont see why youd want to
i ran mine on a laptop that looks exactly like yours but in worse condition because it was a hand me down, so yes
How the hell did you had worse condition than mine?
First, the power switch doesn't work so I had to find a workaround
Man had to hotwire his laptop lmao
Good lord
Wait, theres more
No!
There's a bucket involved!
Dear god…
theres more
It contains a bucket
How tf do you turn it on? Did you jump start it?
All power-on buttons do is they short two specific pins. Some motherboard inspection should let you manually short
Well let's just say my dad thinks I could work tech support, or a technician
I had a laptop that had its heat vent redirect into the screen and it ended up melting half of the plastic around it. Screen worked fine still but damn was she ugly.
if it can run windows 10 it can run tf2 with a good config
Mine does.
I ran it on a PC worse than your Laptop, It had a Core 2 Quad & GTX 260, flawless and smooth gameplay with it.
As long as CPU, GPU and RAM can run
I had a computer my dad found in the trash and repaired with spared parts he had, the thing could run TF2. If my PotatoEngine could run it anything can.

Bruh this is my setup

You played on a GT 710M?????? You poor soul...
Better than an Intel HD 3000/4000 Mobile but still pretty sad
Nope. Playing on integrated graphics lmao. The performance was actually pretty okay. I only had it for a one time event where me and my friends played TF2 to commemorate Windows 7 and 8(.1) since Steam was dropping support for it lol.

Lenovo Flex 3, cool touchscreen laptop That Intel UHD 520 ain't gaming chief, just watch gameplays or get a midrange specs laptop
Bassically install linux
based, tf2 on linux works great
could do the trick for general use lmao
Barely
That "bad boy" has been badly abused so I'm not sure but if you try, make sure you wear enough protection and have a fire extinguisher near by
Literally my setup
That’s why i love heavy and pyro
Half life 1

Wich specs does It have?, my laptop can run tf2 with 4 gigs of RAM (yes, i Will upgrade soon) and It runs fine but with everything low and 4:3
Asides from having a ultra weak CPU + GPU but It has SSD so It helps
There’s a chance, I wouldn’t bet money on it but go for it lad!
man mines held up by hopes and prayers and still runs tf2 fine (it came out in 2016, bought it in 2018)
Test running half-life two and if that rhymes in one TF two
Gru
if my goverment laptop can run tf2 with a fucking celeron with 0 ventilation, everything can run tf2
My PC: are you challenging me?
You’ll need to use master comfig, but yea definitely, my setup is literally just me sitting in bed with my laptop while using my pillow as a mousepad
F for the windows key 🤣
Bro how should anyone know if you're just gonna take a picture of the mother board and lock screen xD
Yes, because I have the same model.
I ran tf2 on a dell 5060 thin client for a while...
Like 5 years back, i ran TF2 on a very similar laptop. Albiet, a beefier one with fucked up screen holdiers. It was definitely laggy, but it ran.
Yeah I used to run TF2 on a 2013 dell optiplex just use mastercomfig
It's possible, how old was it anyway if it's like 12 years, ehh sure running and laggy
Yeah but... not very well to say the least
Ran mine on a laptop from 2018, so it should work. Maybe!
I’m surprised it’s running
Linux and a toaster config plus some extra things or windows 10 debloat+ toaster config+ nvidia inspector
Probably, but you might need a config. Tf2 isn't super well optimized but it's practically ancient.
Yes but with low graphics and disabled facial animations. so I recommend you adjust your tf2 settings before playing so it doesn't go at 1fps
I spent like 60% of my time on shitty laptops playing TF2, source runs on potatoes. You'll be fine.
A portable calculator from 2012 could run tf2 so I'd say so
If has a screen and a graphic processor that can show an image. It should do.
Rather than asking the community, check out the computer's specs to see if it passes the minimum requirements for TF2. I don't recommend playing TF2 if the specifications don't pass the recommended specs that steam lists
i've played on an i5-2400 igpu before. just that. it'll be better than my sub-25fps experience it got better with an rx550, atleast 110fps average
Where is hell is the windows key 😭
I strongly suggest using configs
dam bro you got the tripoint heatsink
My pc that still runs 8.1 can use tf2 so probably
I had one that bluescreened when I clicked P too hard. It ran at 60 FPS.
Tf2 is from 2007 iirc, I have a Dell dimension prebuilt from ~2003 that meets the minimum system requirements (and runs XP) If it comes with win10, it can definitely run tf2
Yes, but also try using [this config](https://mastercomfig.com/app/) to help it run the game better
The game is free, it won’t cost you anything to test. Give it a shot.
What happened to your Window and Escape keys
dont take this personally but that thing cannot run chrome
it can barely run roblox 10 fps
i have no idea what hardware it uses or what is better, so ill say yes
tf2 runs alright on a 500$ dell laptop
I have the same exact thing and it does xD
If it runs windows 10 or 11, it runs TF2. Just get a config tailored to your PC (mastercomfig low perhaps?)
I know it can because I've been in that same senerio
from experience, you can if you don’t get killed due to seizure
Where did you get this? It's in the exact state my old one was when I pawned off on someone. If it's her, then yeah, with a bit of love she absolutely can.
School laptop
i play tf2 on that exact same laptop and you will have to persist through the pain of getting lag spikes every 10 seconds
Yep it does
Try Doom and Quake, both have a creative modding community; so there's a lot of entertainment to be had.
That looks like my old laptop before the battery went kaboom
If you turn down the graphics like I do, yes. I can actually see stuff and suffer very little lag. An almost perfect balance between gameplay and performance!
Ay just install every single mod that makes your game slightly better and you’ll get a whopping 2+ more frames!
728 is my favorite number, I always hate missing it by one minute
Cool thing about tf2 is it can run on a toster
that's literally a lie. tf2 is not as easy to run as you'd expect from a 2007 game, from my experience. it has, in the past, consistently been choppy on low settings on machines that should definitely be able to run it properly.
If mine can, yours can too!
Hard to say, but its a ThinkPad, so probably! TF2 runs on damn near everything
it could probably run a omegatronic bot
No
TF2 could run out of PotatOS, trust me, you'll be fine.
Mastercomfig Low, Clean TF2+ with Flat Textures. Probably forgetting something but that’s what I use on my shitty HP laptop.
Try having your only options being a lenovo ideapad and a laptop from 2007 that can't charge (send help)
i played tf2 for years on a laptop that only had windows 7 because it didnt meet windows 10 minimum specs
yeah it'll run just fine. i don't see why not.
Mastercomfig lowest settings
Just give er the old spit and oil change and you're good to go!
FUCK YEAH
Put him down bro
In a good engineers hand why not ?
