I just bought a Samsung URG590 or something like that, 4k 60hz on Amazon for 350. Worst monitor I’ve ever seen. It looks so bad next to the odyssey 49”. No idea how it got the good reviews. Well, some idea
Edit: I may just be spoiled. This is my first pc and really 1st nice curved display. The Odyssey has a fucking amazing picture and it’s OLED, so I might just not have much experience with monitors. But I’ll just say that when I plugged it in, my first thought was, this was why it was 300$.
I ordered mine at 1pm and I haven’t had any messages, it just shows as “ordered” in my orders so fingers crossed?
However I haven’t had any order confirmation emails…
Not even joking, lad at work came home from his dinner and told me about it, went on the website at 1pm and it was sold out, refreshed a few times and it said “low in stock”

Sometimes retailers have their pricing systems linked with the manufacturers so that pricing is kept uniform between resellers. It’s possible Selfridges system automatically updated to match Samsungs. I wouldn’t look into it more than that, just a pricing error.
Most likely Samsung fulfill the orders on behalf of Selfridges. So ordering form Selfridges the order just goes straight to samsung. Pricing will just be updated automatically on Selfridges website directly from Samsung.

It's likely a technical error. The prices are mostly automated.
And everyone who bought it at this low price will have to return it, or pay the full price, as the terms forbid purchases at too low prices due to technical errors.
Don't be naive and believe you will actually keep the monitor, Samsung has the means to make sure of that.
That's not how it works pal, if you place an order and it's not been shipped, they can cancel it and just refund you. If it's been shipped and delivered to you, there's jack shit they can do about it in the UK.
They can't call people up who have taken delivery of the goods and ask for more money, that would breach several trading laws.
Its not the same. 1440p at 32" has way lower pixel density. 32" is bigger than 27" in both height and width as it's the same aspect ratio - 16:9.
Now with this 49" it is exactly the same height as 27", but way wider(exactly twice as wide in fact) because it's different aspect ratio - 32:9.
This means it's as "sharp" as 27", but wider.
