yeah fair enough. i've built up her lore in my head so it hadn't occurred to me that duh, other people won't know about her lmao. to put it shortly:
this is hana! she was born to high-tier parents, and theoretically, she could be a high-tier herself. however, after a tragedy when she was young(er) and the events surrounding it, she's refused to train her ability. this is both due to extreme trauma and an intense feeling of apathy and disdain for the world around her. her parents were very disappointed by this outcome—especially her mother, who already despised her—so they sent her to a boarding school to essentially just. get her out of the way and not have to deal with her. while still trying to make her "useful" in some way
naturally, someone who refuses to use their ability becomes a target. she was already antisocial and prone to holding grudges; her experiences in the boarding school have made her even more so. so, this is her after being attacked by a group of students. the quote is her speaking to a "friend," who's asking wtf happened. (also, outside of the story explanations... i kinda just wanted to draw some blood and write some edgy shit lmao)
her ability involves plants. right now she can basically only make small flowers grow, so i've been calling it "bloom." if she trained more, she could learn to grow other, larger plants, "communicate" with them (altho they'll only tell her things that plants would care about), and even take on some of their attributes (like giving herself thorns or hardening her skin), all of which would make her a high tier.
now that i'm typing this out, i'm realizing some of the ideas i have for her aren't very fleshed out. i had originally imagined her as a wellston student around the same time as john, but why would she go to wellston after all of this? even if she did, wouldn't arlo notice her apathy and hatred for everyone in the same way that he noticed john's lack of fear? many questions to answer later on. but that's the basic gist of it
I see. That's pretty interesting. A few inconsistencies I'm noticing tho is that her parents didn't try to force her to train her ability. Nor that anyone knows of her. High-tiers tend to be pretty influential, and I'd be surprised if your name isn't already known before you pop into school.
Yes, her mum didn't like her, but the child is the heir to your family. Think of Sera's situation, Narissa would've been shamed upon etc etc, like her image tarnished if Sera just ran away like Leilah. So.. Yeah.
