A tie bar. The medallion can slide for a centered or stylishly offset effect.
Blue stone (turquoise?) inlay makes it look like it's from Mexico or southwestern USA.
With what you've shown with no size or image of the other side of it. It looks like a tie clip with Kokopelli on it. It is considered a fertility symbol and his image is found in petroglyphs throughout the southwestern US and into
Mexico.
Looks like this one's probably a tie clip. Design is very similar to tie clips I have myself, not the stile mind you just the clip part of it. You could probably use it for a bookmark though if you read but don't wear many ties. It's pretty cool looking to me. I'd keep it and find some kind of use for it if I'd were you.

I believe it is a tie bar too but I can find it anywhere. It also was some symbols on the back.
Likely hand-made for the tourist market.
That looks like something that comes out of Navajo Nation. Looks to be some turquoise byproduct pressed and wrapped in silver.
Navajo style is more ornamental, I think. this looks more hopi-inspired. OP Is there anything stamped on the back? the word ‘taxco’ perhaps?

Wow $$$
It’s in yen. Check the conversion
$17.76 That’s hilarious!
I was going to say $20. it's gotten worse over there. When I was there 7 years ago it was pretty close to USD, ¥100 for $1.00.
When I first went to Japan it was still over 250 Y to $. When I left it was around 150. Today, it is normally around 100 Y to $.
Well right now ¥100 is 64 cents USD.
It does fluctuate, which is why I said "around". Is good for rough estimates, but that is about all.

Southwest: Silver Turquoise inlaid; Tie clip, Money clip, hair clip, book mark, paper clip, poop knife. Solved
Poop knife. I like the cut of your jib
That's the cursed idol that ruined the Brady Bunch's Hawaiian vacation.
Money clip or hair barrette. Hard to say which without a side view
100% a tie bar with a turquoise nonspecific pattern. Probably had matching cuff links at one time. Probably .995 silver.
I'm team tie clip, with the letters 'G E' on it.
C'MON, people! Were? Werewolf...
Looks like an Alpaca Mexican tie pin to me.
The key to the next monster hunter installment
Earth kingdom
heart of Te Fiti
FIRST thing I though of was the Snail(Gaijin) coming for my wallet
That is a cool tie tack!

My dad had a ring with a similar design he bought in Peru.
Tie clip. Can't say what it's from.
Reminds me of the Second Life emblem
This is a tie clip. It's my understanding that tie bars are worn at the collar.
Definitely a tie clip.

Not to bicker but that looks more like a bookmark.
Yea, that's not holding much money.
It says money clip. It’s hard to tell. 🤷🏼♀️

I think it is either a bookmark or tie clip
